I agree there is a lot of redevelopment going on around the area between Cumberland and Lehigh.

Jasper and Allegheny was a prime pick up spot back in the sixties and seventies. They even had LEO as some of their best clients. Back when LEO had red cars they would pull right up on that corner and get one of the girls put her in the back seat. Take her down by the river pound her pussy till she walked funny and then drop her off. That was a working class neighborhood back then. Yes there was all kinds of community actions taking place. Seemed to make for good business for the girls.
If the guys didn't have a short they would go into the Midway movie theater right there where the open lot is now. Do their business and be on their way.
Another area that seemed to be a thorn for the community was Wamrath Park right there where Kensington meets up with Frankford Ave under the El. That's just below the Church Station. There was all kinds of protests there cause some girls would do a date right there in the park. The neighbors complained and rightly so because the kids could see what was going on. So the area was "cleaned up" for a while. Now look, its right back where it was back in the day.
My educated guess would be if the area around Jasper St changes because of the girls it will be a minor change cause the girls go where the money and drugs is. The drug issue no matter how much money in redevelopment is pumped into an area will never be gone. I've always said the cops are terrified of dealing with the drug problem there. So the developers can build all they want. The only thing going for that area is the El train. Front st shopping is all but destroyed.
As for the activists "cleaning up" the area. Highly doubtful. What the girls have to sell knows no economic boundaries. If that neighborhood faces a change the girls will just wear better clothes so they blend in.
Remember, the surrounding area was once a prime location to live because of the El and the shopping along with the factories to support the area. So with new construction there is really no surrounding support for longevity. People that buy the properties can't shop Front St. The hospital is a disgrace. Whatever the new residents want or need, they will need to leave the area to get. That's a pretty sad reality there. So again its my best guess the drugs and the girls will remain. They will just need to blend in a little better. Me, I'm just an 'OL Gator.

Posts: 24If I look at the development trend, most of the new construction up until now has been limited to Coral st, Arizona, and York St. Far enough way from the main zones that those people don't notice anything day to day.
However there are now housing going pending on the 1900 block of E Cumberland which the entirely block was previously a dead zone. New Construction popping up randomly on Jasper, E Firth, and other locations close to the stroll. Believe it or not these people are paying $350 K to $400 K to live a few blocks from the Ave. Have a look at realtor dot com if you don't believe me.
I would just say with lots of new residents pouring into the neighborhood who have alot of money at stake, will come increased activism and increased pressure to push everything north of Lehigh.

But also, I am curious. How does this development relate to increased danger? What is the higher risk involved that normal precautions (following the rules) would not protect one from? What am I missing?

There's been a lot of discussion lately about East Kensington in the media. Based on the following articles I think there is a big push from realtors and developers to clean up everything south of Lehigh. There's a lot of new construction just east of the ave which is moving slowly and I think the developers are getting nervous that they built too far into the hood. I would use extra caution along Jasper as there is still more development slated for this corridor, with plans to get new residents to use the Huntingdon station. It came all the way up Berks and I think they want everything up to Lehigh to get gentrified.

Was driving around the stroll around 3 am and saw a WSW walking up sedgely toward Kensington so I got to her before she got to Kensington which was perfect because it was dark on the side I picked her up she gets in do LEO check and she's about 5'3 small frame average tits little but t, shoulder length curly blonde hair face with make up about mid 30's to 40 I actually hooked up with her last year sometime before I strated posting so we go to park near Juanita a few good dark spots to park so 20 for a CBJ (she'd probably go BBBJ if you don't have a rubber she didn't ask if I had one) good technique followed directions when asked to play with the boys and no rush she seemed to do what it took to finish the job since I was long winded this particular time had no problem with my roaming hands. Finished me off and dropped her off around castor before getting to Kensington, would definitely repeat and curious about FS with her. I've seen her a few other times around mostly bukius and walking from the other direction from the El where the walgreens and other car dealers that end but was looking for thicker women those times. Again those times where after 2 am so not sure if she's out during the day.

Picked up Sarah on Jasper at Hazzard or so. She's a mid 20's brunette, was wearing a Queen sweatshirt. Got pulled over by LEO shortly after with her in the car, but that didn't seem to be an issue, and we got on our way. Did ask her after that if she was a cop, she said she thought we were kind of past that already. Told me she'd do anything, but car date pretty much limited me to BBBJ, which was top notch. No phone. Says she's usually around there, this wasn't far off midnight.

Cruised Kensington at 3 am today, about a dozen out, most looked like extras who had walked off set from a Walking Dead episode. Then saw Chrissy tall WSW long dark hair at Lehigh intersection less than 30 minutes into the hunt, her silhouette made me do a you-turn, had disappeared but found her a block away, tall slender legs in jeans, curvy nice ass, upon closer inspection pretty face, sort of like Pocahontas appears American Indian to me, a touch older / street weathered, but very attractive to me at least nevertheless. Pulled a bit off Kensington, she followed, good girl. Short negotiation off to her spot to park, felt secluded and safe, then off to the races one of the top bbbjs this year, didn't need any direction varied technique, not the hint of any rush felt like she'd go on as long as needed, attention to the boys, the shaft, the head was perfect, and nothing to clean up, a swallower great girl so rare these days. Very confident and I'm sure she has a 100% success ratio with her skills. Would repeat in a heartbeat, no digits I asked how do I find you her response, you know where I work. Limited time for conversation but she impressed there too, not your typical street moron / drugged out catch. Great find.

I'm not sure if we're speaking about the same person? I usually see her near Oakdale, not near any school (there is a school further south on Kensington Ave) and each time I've seen her she's been wearing yoga pants, boots, and a winter jacket, with her hair up in a bun. Nothing out of the ordinary which would make me think, whoa, she looks too much the hooker part to be legit. Now, she IS very youthful looking and could be taken for someone close to high school age, but that's a far cry from being vice.

Posts: 2124I met her but I decided not to let her in my car my first thought she was a vice cop because of how she was dressed and standing right in front of a school off of the K Ave so I passed on her.

Delayed report, my bad. Last Wednesday morning, taking the scenic route into town on my way to work, I saw a cute, thin brunette, goes by Olivia, just south of Lehigh Avenue. Hadn't seen her and at first wasn't even sure she was working. Anyway, in she gets, and I'm pleasantly surprised. Quite the opposite of what you usually get, she actually looked better up close, because her hair was up in a kind of nondescript do, but she had a really pretty face. She was running late for a court date at the CJC and I told her I could take her that way, but she had some "business" to do after we finished ours. Apparently she's from the burbs and does hair when she's not turning tricks out in the street. Gave her. 40 to take care of me and am pleased to report that she really knows what she's doing and just obviously likes to suck cock. Pleasant personality, pretty face, good skills. I'm going to have to find out what else she can do. Recommended.

Met a larger girl near the north end of the Ave named Bonnie. She's a little on the heavy side, but her face was pretty cute. Long brunette hair. I think I had met her a few years ago. We drove to a nice spot and she expertly cleaned the pipes in almost record time. Said she has a phone but it's off at the moment. You know the usual story. Hopefully she'll be out again to meet up. Powerful BBBJCIMS. Not a drop missed.

This is actually pretty close to my area, which is a bummer because yeah, there's drug activity and there's girls out working. For the most part, the girls aren't quite as good as you will find on Kensington Ave and thereabouts but there are some exceptions. Jackie, a cute brunette, is often between Disston and Unruh on Torresdale. There's a skinny blond whose name I forget often on the corner, but her skills are subpar at best. Amanda, a short cute redhead gives a decent BBBJ but you can tell it's completely mechanical and she hates it. I did run into a cute brunette named Allie, who's only around infrequently, but who gives head like she's possessed and actually gets off while doing so. YMMV as always, but you are truly better off on the K stroll. That being said, you can get lucky occasionally. The stroll is basically from Disston down to Van Kirk. Happy hunting.
