You made two errors. One was an error in your choice of a word and the other was a misuse of tense. In your statement "should of went" the use of the word "of" is not only incorrect but nonsensical. The correct word to use is "have. " Then, you selected the past tense when the past participle would have been the correct choice. "Should have gone" would have been the correct choice and use of words.
