It's weird as I feel like I could have written this post myself. But I'd like to add, that once inside the bowl and you make a few connections with these incredible sexy, nave," innocent" young women, it will without doubt, forever change you. And if in the wrong situation (wife at home, or other long standing SO) it will ruin this! Just plain straight ruin it. You will never be able to look at her the same. This is something some of you more new SD's need to consider before starting this part of the hobby. It will change you and your life significantly. The reasons are too many to list here. And in my conclusion it has lead me to believe more then ever that on a raw and evolutionary level, man was designed to spread his seed. My early adventures inside the bowl has tapped into a side of me I did not know was there. And if I had a wife at home, I would be on my way out.

Two things save me from letting it really change me forever: (1) my current GF (2) realistic limits on my finances.

If I were in a different relationship and / or had unlimited money, I might just become a permanent SD. Partially because if I were that rich, it would be terribly difficult to find someone who could see past the money and actually love me, so I would have to settle for just being loaded with money and pussy. Worse things have happened to a guy I'm sure.

Being an SD does seem to have a temporary damaging effect on my relationship with my GF, but so far each time I do it, I always bounce back and forget about all the SBs, re-focus on my relationship, and keep the hobby in the back of my mind for the next time I am alone and bored for an extended period of time. And, of course I live vicariously through each of you guys when you describe your adventures here.

As it is right now, I do not know when my GF's next travel event will occur, and it seems weird to say it but I'm not even looking forward to it at the moment. Oh don't get me wrong, there's nothing I'd like more than some strange pussy right now. There's not a night that goes by that I don't think about it (even as I doze off to sleep after sex with my GF). But I'm such a realist, that I also never forget how much work it is to surf the SD sites, hunting for top quality pussy, not knowing which ones will actually result in a fuck worth the trouble and which ones will flake out at the last minute, etc. It can be a hell of a lot of work. Civvy dating was always kind of a pain in the ass too, but the difference is that in civvy dating you only do it when you're not dating anyone, so you need something to pass the time anyway. I guess hunting SBs might be the same way for some people, but my situation is such that I usually have a fairly brief time window in which to schedule M&Gs. So, even a single failed meet-up can amount to a big waste of unrecoverable time.

So, yes it's insanely addictive while it's going on. During my last SDing rampage, the last girl I hooked up with was really amazing, perhaps even dating material (in fact I think that's what she was looking for from me). I actually started to feel like shit because I actually cared that she was expecting to see me again and I had no intention of seeing her after my GF got back. But, it all worked out. So, I guess if I ever do get busted maybe I can honestly look my GF in the eye and say "I did it for us! I did it to make our relationship stronger". LOL. Ok, well yeah that's probably not going to fly. But it does seem to be one of the long term effects of the hobby in my case.

When I was younger and married I was much more in the category of enjoying the risk itself, and my need for variety was far less controllable. In fact the urges were so great that I think I would have always been somewhat dissatisfied in my marriage until I pursued those urges.

These days it's a bit different. As much as I do crave the variety, I don't have the need to pursue risk just for the sake of risk, because I have so many years of it under my belt that there is kind of a "been there, done that" feeling. And as you said, my relationship is very rewarding in itself, so I have very little motivation to do anything that would threaten it.
