Just record a greeting and it bypass the google screening. Also remember that GV will go to voicemail after 25 secs. You need to set the regular voicemail pickup for LONGER than 25 secs or it will go to your normail voicemail if someone calls in. AND never dismiss and incoming call. Again it will go to regular voicemail not GV voicemail.

Its going to be my first time and I'm unsure if there are any newbie friendly service providers (preferably independent) which "Seniors" here in this group, are aware of; and can recommend to me. Log in with your associated user I'd and p / w. Go to settings / calls. Click the radio button that says "off" under call screening.

I always screen and have them announce their name because I don't use a burner. Having this set to off would catastrophic.

If he didn't set it up correctly, the defaults make it clear that the phone is through GV.

Free app called 'textnow' gives you free phone number free texts and free voice calls. Alternatively you can use an app called Burner for unlimited numbers you can use then burn. (For a fee). Enjoy.
