Interesting. I have never had an incident there. I agree the area is suspect, but I have yet to experience an issue there and have been going over 10 years now. Just have to be very alert and spot signs of trouble quickly I quess. I used to frequent a spot called Norms on 14th & Center some years ago. Unfortunately its closed now, but oh my wow. The talent that spot had sometimes was awesome. Always found a gem each time I went. Need another spot like that!

Norms Alturistic Lounge on Center Street and Geralds Supper Club on 32nd and Lisbon were both great spots run by the Johnson family.I've known Norm since the early 80's and I still talk to him occasionally. He's not doing well and I think his boxing career has taken it's toll on him. Back to the Leprechaun, I never had problems there either but the crowd changes drastically and there seems to be a lot more scurvy people mingling outside than I'm comfortable with.

Yeah, I used to hang there when I lived there on occasion and I agree. That area is bad news later in the evening. I used to hang out at the pool hall there too, Lenny's. I always had a good time at both places but I knew people in both spots and was known in the streets back then. Even still, I knew well enough that the probability of getting jacked leaving out of there was real, especially late at night.

I have not conducted any kind of scientific sample of the rates of rip off by various groups of sws. I was only speaking to my experience. The main point I was trying to make is trust no one, even one you've seen before and think is okay could turn on you.

If you start keeping notes, can you get out of a ticket / arrest if you claim you are doing it in the name of science? HaHaHa

I don't think there's any difference. A SW is a SW. All have some sort of drug issue of addiction, most will try to rob, test, or hustle you given the right opportunity. That's why I pass on SW's. Not worth my time.

I agree, I have been ripped of by BSW, HSW and WSW, of course thanks to this board, it doesn't happen to often. I make sure my car is clean of anything but the case I am goign to spend and a few napkins, no extra money, no wallet, no valuables. My post wasn't about being ripped off, as much as the constant renegotiations that seem to happen with the BSWs.

Not to mention the fact that I have yet to be "wow'ed" by any of the SW's I've picked up.

For me its not a wow factor at all, its the thrill of the chase. And then there is the cost savings as well. Allot of times, its gettign to girls in the early stage of their carear. Allie is a good example, when I first saw her, you could not see the tracks or the soars that you can now, I was lucky enough to do here in the early days. Sad part of that is it was only a few months ago. Kayla is another one, she use to be a great piece of ass, now I want nothign to do with her.

The Leprechaun has had a pretty much older white guy crowd until early evening then it turns to pretty much all black. There are usually a few different working girls there until early evening for the white guys and there are different working girls that hang there later in the evening. Be careful in the later evening as that area is now plenty of trouble. In the last couple of years I have always gotten out of there by 10pm.

You're right Willow. Maybe one of the reasons I've not been ripped off by a BSW is I don't pick many up. And if I do pick one up I am selective, I won't go for one who is too ghetto looking. The one bad experience I had was a WSW jumping out of my car after I paid her. There was no threat of violence or anything like that, just a loss of 30 bucks.

You are spot on with that statement. It doesn't matter who or what they are out there, you can't trust any of them. Sure, quite a few probably won't rip you off, but why take a chance? I've caught them feeling around while they're doing the deed searching for stuff to swipe, or trying to get their hand in your pocket. I had one take the money and then tell me she wanted me stop by her house before she did anything with me so that she could give the money to her aunt so she could go buy diapers. Of course I didn't fall for it, but the moral is that the majority will try to pull one over on you if they think they can. Luckily I haven't found myself in any type of dangerous situations, and that's the biggest reason why I'm not out there more often. I don't need that kind of hassel. Not to mention the fact that I have yet to be "wow'ed" by any of the SW's I've picked up.

Black, white, brown or any color you always have to be alert out there. The only time I was ripped off was by a white SW.
