I have not had an adventurous dream or fantasy since last Nov, and have no plans to ever again in NC. Has anyone found anything worth traveling for in Danville or SC border? Florence is 2+ hours so not really a great option (and not many options there anyway). Danville would be acceptable and I was hoping the new casino would help, but no good options so far. I occasionally see reputable Tryst providers post a few dates in Danville but nothing good is regularly available (maybe a few old / fat / ugly). If anyone is exploring and finding options on either border, please pass the info. Maybe we can influence the market and create some safe zones within reasonable driving distance for us guys with too much to lose compared to the new risk factors.

Simply put, they changed the law covering Solicitation. Charging # 14.205. 1. It's now elevated to a Felony, and has the special provision that affords no Prayer For Judgment, meaning the judge can't allow you to plead down to a lesser and can't reduce your mandatory jail sentence in months upon conviction. The legal standard is agreeing to or making a proposal and / or showing up to the location of prostitution. Having viewed a STG ad and calling the provider constitutes the 'agreeing to a proposal' part (lowest legal standard in the country). Providers can no longer be charged for Solicitation.

Prostitution. Charging # 14.204 This is generally the only way providers can be charged, but only after actually committing an act. Essentially the cops would have to see you in the act or one of you would have to admit it. Mongers can also be charged with prostitution. This is the same misdemeanor as before 12/1/24.

Since you can't make a deal to get out of the felony, your only shot is to be acquitted. It is imperative that you preserve every legal argument for your attorney to make for you. You must not make any statements. Your only word when questioned should be "LAWYER". They will be encouraging the provider to flip on you, as she can't be charged as long as an act hasn't yet occurred. The new provisions enable her to collect reparatory damages from you, so she won't be your ally after the cops tell her this. Your attorney will have lots of tools to fight with if you haven't made any statements. If these prosecutions become a grind for the's they will be less likely to prosecute cases where defendants have lawyered up. It's important for all of us that they don't make easy layups.

Apparently they want to target the buyer and the person who does solicitation. This article might help:

I can't imagine ever finding someone worth the risk of a felony. The consequences of just being arrested will last a lifetime (your record will be public forever). And if you do end up with a felony conviction you're now ineligible for a lot of jobs and the stigma will follow you to your grave.

It likely will at least protect from stings. I mean LEO will not go out on a dinner date just to see what will happen on date #2. They expect you to commit to a sexual act in some manner.

By then, you probably won't be propositioning directly over text. You will just have to say "hey let's meet" and that's it.

I still don't fully understand whether police being involved in the meeting is a requirement for arrest or not. I sort of doubt the scenario where an angry SB screenshots you and takes it to the police and gets you arrested. Nevertheless, that's why I'm saying don't leave any electronic trail. Meet in person and go from there.

Anyone that is an immigrant should probably quit the hobby, at least in NC.
"anyone arrested. Down to some misdemeanors like child abuse -- will have to verify their citizenship status".

That's crazy, not even convictions, just arrests for misdemeanors. Imagine a problem kid, born in USA with noncitizen parents, having the leverage to get their parents deported with a false accusation to CPS. Same thing for a false domestic abuse claim.
