Cheap flip phone with pay by the month minutes which I use as a regular cell phone. Better that I answered the call rather than have them hunt me down. Cops wanted to see the last text I had received from the girl. I had taken her for a fish fry on Friday, gave her some money for food or something, got the call from her mom on Monday. I knew the next call would be the cops. Mom had my number from the girl using her phone.

Cop asked, "does your wife know you have this phone?" LOL! Cops were actually OK after they realized I wasn't in her sphere of druggies and was seeing the girl as a sort of sugar daddy. Girl was a mid-30's housewife type that somehow became an addict. I miss that girl!

Parting words from one of the cops: "be careful out there. ".

Yes, but it's questionable whether a local PD would go through the warrants, subpoenas, and tracking for a misdemeanor.

Sounds like these guys used their real phone number and confessed when confronted. Also sounds like the lawyer let the escort know who he was and that he could help her. Never get relaxed and never confess to anything.
