Well like you said, it's subjective. So what you might consider pretty might be different to every other guy. Now service wise that's different. So you'll just have to read up on the forums, or look on TER for reviews of their services.

Looks wise if that is going to be important, I would say dim the lights in the room if you are disappointed. Most of the K-agencies the curtains anyway so even during the day, it's pretty dark with only one if not two lamps in the room. Plus they might not be wearing much makeup if any so again be prepared for the bare face look.

Yup, J-Girls are from Japan so they are away from friends and family so getting exposed for what they are doing is not going to cause an issue. They will do some photoshopping of their eyes (Making them bigger) or contour their face, but 95% of the time it's their photos they are using. But this studio spot in Japan they will go there, get a photoshoot done and they are always heavily make-up'ed etc. But when you see them, they usually are not wearing any makeup, their hair style is completely different. With them taking showers afterwords, they don't want to have to reapply makeup, etc. So in Japanese it's called Suppin (Bare faced or no makeup).

K-Girls from the ones that I have met and had small talk have said they live in America. Usually in So Cal and they are working in Vegas temporarily or vice-versa. Some actually do live in Vegas, but they don't want to be exposed for what they are doing because they have a kid, bf, etc. So you are right about the selfie-style photos when they are covering their face.
