I was recently at Best in Chantilly, but I don't recall who I saw. I wasn't blown away (so to speak), and decided to give it another shot this morning. The front door was open, and when I rang the bell inside, I could hear a bunch of talking and activity. MMS opened the door with gloves on and cleaning supplies in hand and told me I was early and should have called (it was about 9:15, and she said they open at 9:30. I also visited Paradise Healing in Burke and had Xi-Xi. Her massage was pleasant enough, but I would not return if that was important to me. On the flip, she was adamant on her too-high price and I almost left. She finally came down a bit on price and disrobed. I've been in this apartment studio at least once a month since she moved to Annandale, I have never seen it in a messy state). There were no odors evident, anywhere. (History. The only time I've ever noticed an odor was when Tara had been cooking, and there was nothing unpleasant about the delicious soups and foods!). The shower temperature is challenging to control -- but that is the fault of the apartment management company, and I suspect every tenant has that problem (History - I've taken a lot of showers there -- the water temp control has always been there). HOWEVER. I specifically noticed how clean the shower was today (History. I've never noticed the bathroom less than clean, but I specifically noticed its cleanliness today due to WalkerC comments).

As always, Tara's massage is top notch. (History - I have a lot of history with Tara's massage techniques and have always been impressed by her skill, and her fun attitude -- and today was as top-notch as top-notch can be).

It is interesting to me that WalkerC is disappointed. As for me, I was not disappointed. It will be a (short) while before I return -- like two weeks.

As far as I'm aware, Tara only advertises (sporadically) on two sites: Bedpage and Craigslist. As of the time of this post she doesn't have an ad up on Craigslist, and ads (for both Health&Wellness and Beauty Services) go back to 11/22. On Bedpage she has an ad posted on 12/06. But Bedpage, even if it keeps the text of the ad up, removes the images for ads that are more than a week old. I'm guessing that might be to free up storage capacity. Whatever the reason, I just double-checked to make sure I was remembering accurately, and sure enough the oldest ad for which you can see provider-posted images is 12/15. That means, if my math is correct, the last day for which Tara's pics on Bedpage could have been viewed was 9 days ago, on 12/13.

It's entirely possible that there's another ad site she uses that I don't know about. So please be so kind as to specify which ad (and when posted) you're relying on as the basis for your statement.

The fake AI-generated reviews are easy to spot. The punctuation is off, capitalizing words when they shouldn't be, sentence structure a little off, etc. The big giveaway is the highly glowing reviews, especially when you check the poster's posting history and see other likely AI-generated reviews that are highly glowing of the provider / AMP. I have a feeling that the advertisers that these AMPs use figured out this forum could be used to spam the boards with the ads, vice just advertising sites like bedpage. The advertisers are all Asian, non-native English speakers, who don't have a grasp of colloquial English, hence why they have to resort to AI to post their fake reviews.

Past reviews for Blue Therapy in Springfield, Forever Wellness (and the infamous Grace) in Fairfax, and a Chinese AMP in Herndon on Herndon Pkwy (I think it's called Breeze) have all the same characteristics of AI-generated fake reviews.

You did get one thing right and that's Nicole's age. I have been visiting this place for almost a year, sometimes on a weekly basis and I have never seen 3-4 overweight greasy woman hanging around. I mean they only work two gals at a time plus Nicole, and she is basically the manager; she fills in as needed. Sometimes though they will bring in outside "heavy-duty "help to fill in on a serious massage request. Sometime even a male masseuse, requested by women will be brought in from an outside source, believe it or not. I have seen this on two occasions; after all this is a legit spa, (sort of).

May wellness has really stepped up their game these last 6 months. There were three girls working yesterday that are 32,32 and 36 years old. I know them. Where else are you going to find attractive, slender, tight under 36 years olds in Nova? Please share if you have other possibilities.

So, what are the options in the area?

You could visit Sunny spa; Sofia and Monica, both very attractive Chinese gals maybe early 40's and or Eastern Spa with Lisa probably 50 but very attractive. (I recently reviewed both spas) Menu at both places is wide open on the table (literally) but this is not the case at May Wellness, it's a different experience. You must initiate and work your charm. Obviously not for everyone but like many I like the thrill of the hunt..

I saw Angel today at May Wellness and received a wonderful massage from a pretty 30-something with beautiful eyes and a slender body. I echo PJ's comments about the quality and consistency of the ladies working there. I do think I benefit from being a repeat customer. Cherie, who just left, knew that I was a reasonably decent tipper and a consistent customer and understood exactly what my quirks and preferences were and catered to those. Angel warmed up considerably in the hour we spent together and was far more playful and open in the last 10 minutes than she was in the first few minutes of the post-flip navigation. I will repeat with her with the hope that we will start where we left off.

Last time I was there, I got to see 3 or 4 providers in the waiting room. They are all oily faced middle aged women. I am asian, I know exactly how old are they. Nicole the mamasan is at least 50, and rest no one is younger than 35. They may have couple who were working in room that I didn't get see. But just from that glimpse, it's big disappointment. I said to myself, maybe at least I can get a good massage, and so I ask for someone who can do hard massage. They send in a girl with glass, who is at least 180 lb and 5 ft8 gorilla. Well, she is the young indeed, but no appeal at all, plus her finger is so sweaty and there is no enjoyment when touch your skin. Well, to each of his own, but mongers be warned.

I was also a bit disappointed with Cherry and Cindy. They weren't petite or spinners people advertised. Their teasing could be better, they just sort of graze the inner thights and obliques but don't really work the balls or shaft much. Anyhow you can't really compare these other spas to May Wellness because you are not comparing Peaches to Peaches, so to speak. Although IMHO the Peaches at May Wellness are a lot harder.

They need a few more years to ripen.

I've known Tara for well over 10 years. In that time I've lost count of how many times I've visited. Some visits were scheduled in advance and others were last-minute. If I found myself in her area, with some spare time, she would see me on short notice if she didn't have another client.

In all that time, and in all those visits, I never once found her apartment less than clean and tidy, and I'm a rather meticulous sort. And I also have a keen nose, so any odors would be immediately noticeable to me. I can't speak to your experience, as I wasn't there, but I can speak to 10+ years of seeing her.

I'd also add that, in all that time, I've never seen Tara use a photoshopped pic. I'm not sure if she even knows how but anyone who is a regular client of Tara knows that she's not ashamed of her body, and wasn't when she was heavier than she is now. If you'll notice, she advertises less than any other provider out there. That's because she has a steady stream of regulars. So it's hard for me to imagine what motivation she'd have to use doctored or glamorized pics as she's consistently busy.

IMHO, Tara is the quintessential "what you see is what you get" Thai masseuse. She's direct, to the point, and doesn't try to be something she's not. In fact, she told me she's recently had to turn down clients who try to press her for FS, and some of them have gone off on a huff. She was a bit upset with the situation and said she will probably block those clients and not see them again.

For my money, Tara is one of the true Thai massage therapist gems. And even more so when you consider that she hasn't raised her prices for the entire 10+ years I've known her.

So last year I piggy backed off PA's comments about remembering some of our lovely this Holiday season. I added a comment that we should be a little more generous with these gals since they have such a hard life. Well! That comment set up an uproar of disagreement from some of our beloved members to the point that one had his comments deleted by our beloved Admin2. The good news is that I am not going near that comment this year.

Now I have had a very good mongering year; I love the hobby and all that it has to offer; I have met new acquaintances that I occasionally PM with on this board and more importantly I have made some very interesting new lady friends. I have learned a lot about some of these gals: Some make an obscene amount of money but most just get by. Three out my four regular gals have children abroad and they are the only means of support. One gal told me the other day that all she does is work to send money back to China. I told her that she is young and to hang in there. (I know you guys don't want to hear this, but I have become a softy in my old age). Anyhow I visited my ATF and another regular the other day and presented them both with an envelope with a little extra to show them my appreciation. I enjoyed doing so.

Those who work in the personal services industry (haircuts, massage, etc.) see their regular clients more often than some of us see family (or our primary medical professionals). I see my favorite barber and massage specialists every 2-6 weeks (depending on specialty and my needs). Like PJ53, in this holiday time I leave an envelope w / a card and a cash gift (after I've paid for services and left appropriate tip for services). No, they are not personal friends -- but being friendly (and a bit generous) can be very enjoyable.

Price for nuru+shower scrub was per her ad. Didn't discuss anything else until the flip, asked for a tip for BBBJ+CIM, I asked if making it a total $$$ was sufficient and she agreed.

Throughout she was very upfront about what she didn't do, no FS, no FIV. All fine with me since I wasn't looking for that.

Professional level massage and neck / spine cracking. Really helped worked out some tension I've been having. Nuru was decent, shower scrub was just okay as it was in the aging hotel tub shower and already post finish so it was more carrying out the service than "fun" for me. Agree with body description as solid and thick. She's pretty but wouldn't call her hot, it's the most I've ever paid for a session but I think the value for me was more in the massage quality.

Location feels safe. At a hotel but doesn't require you to go through a lobby. She's good with directions in text. Making appointments with her via text has some screener questions for her own safety.

Stopped to see. Just bigger gal than I was expecting. Nice service but not going back.
