I'd like to chime in to mitigate some misinformation. There are dozens of visa types available in the US. For us mongers, the most pertinent one is the B-2 tourist visa. However, a whopping 99.9% of kgirls and jgirls do not get this visa (I would prefer to say 100% but I need to cover my ass, also there's always the chance that an infinitesimal few who actually do). That is because to get an actual visa is tedious and hard (fill out an application, pay fees, provide documentation, schedule an interview with a embassy or consulate in your home country, and so on).

In the late 80's the US government implemented the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) to make it easier for foreigners to visit the US on a short term basis to designated nations who reciprocated the gesture. It was mainly done to reap more tourism dollars and have embassies / consulates focus on more important matters. Under this program, all eligible countries, which includes Japan and South Korea, do not need a visa to visit the US for up to 90 days. Only citizens of Canada and Bermuda get 180 days (6 months) duration. Fun history fact, the reason kgirls and their agencies didn't really exist before 2009 is because South Korea didn't get added to the VWP until the end of 2008. In the end, I highly doubt it's about visas. In fact, they are not traveling with visas at all but under the auspices of a codified government programs that waives that requirement. All the girls I've seen recently said they didn't have trouble at all getting into the States. Immigration either doesn't care or no one is lighting their ass on fire about it since the couple years following FOSTA / SESTA.

As for the explosion in Jgirls, horrible economy back home and incredibly favorable exchange rate is a probable factor but I'm more leaning on the assumption that the k-org bosses either got more access to Jgirls through local C-orgs, have a source in Japan itself, or a combination of both. Like some have mentioned, Jgirls have always been available through C-orgs and even a few independent orgs popped up in the past but were short lived. I just don't like C-orgs because the talents are so hit or miss. In addition, I do not fancy the idea of sitting in a lobby filled with a miasma of cigarette smoke and in the company of other mongers waiting their turn to fuck the girl (s) upstairs. It only seems like a lot of jgirls are coming over because the girls are now popping up in our sphere of operation. As for kgirls, it's always been an ebb and flow of 90-day girls whose comings and goings didn't seem to follow predictable and reasonable indicators (economic downturn, the period after graduation, seasonal times for traveling, etc.) so I gave that up thinking about it long ago. I think I fell victim to my own expectations as well. I expected this bonfires freak like JAV portrays, especially the ones with films out. Alas, life is not so merry and without flaw. So far my experience with j-girls hasn't necessarily bad, I just expected more. Hopefully the new blood does bring us some starlets. It's a new transition though and I think it would be preemptive to say there aren't a few gems to be found. It's just cumbersome to wait on intel to find who are the duds.
