I too don't like using my pics. I have some that have the same general build as me. I will send pic face pic when I have to but, although not fool proof, it's not until I trust the other person is real and have verified herself. Still could be a scam but less likely by the time they jump through my hoops. When I do send face pics, send one for your social media. Sounds crazy but it just means the "scammer" went on and got photos that anyone has access to. If you send pics nobody else has seen or can get, it means you took them just for the "scammer". The problem is, it makes it easier to find out your real I'd, So there are risks with both but that way is this easier to explain away than things than could have ONLY come from you.

I had a burner for years until Tracfone dropped whatever band that was a couple years ago. I worked from a home office for years and my wife was in there printing some things off and heard a little jingle (that phone could not be silenced and I had forgotten to turn it off when I returned from a business trip). She looked in my business backpack and found it but didn't know how to open it because it was an old flip phone. If she had, the jig would have been up as a regular was texting me and it had all the numbers and text threads of my hobbying! I now use an app recommended by one of the mongers on here. If someone wants photos I try and get them to email my monger email. That way I can send pics that are pasted and don't have stamps on them. Also never send any pic that you have online anywhere that could be searched in Google images or anything. I did explain to my wife that the phone was left from when I had a business and used it to communicate with my warehouse guy and it had minutes left on it so I kept it on my travels as a back-up but like any old phone number you get nuisance calls and texts, she's unobservant and accepted it. Closely aligned to this: I did see someone in Shelby a few years back that I wasn't crazy about seeing her again so I ignored her texts and then one day she threatened me saying the hotel had my tag number on their security camera and he uncle (whoever) was LE and had my I'd info. Blah, blah, blah. It was a bluff but since then I sort of avoid hotels because they all have cameras, even the bad notels. Not worth messing my life up at my age (and asset level). I also try to be sure my car is where its not easy for someone to take a photo of the tag with their phone either. But that's just me. And BTY, I avoid Google anything if I can, that's just me. Google already knows wayyyyy more about me than I'm comfortable with and I'm certainly NOT going to do my hobbying through them! And I use a VPN on my computer as well to attempt to shield myself a bit from them.

She mentioned that this was her second affair and asked if I had done it before, I said yes (now she has historical incriminating info). She asked about details of my previous arrangement, like payment and what are my preferences and kinks (more historical incriminating info). Then some more adult photos came and she asked for some of me (my photos didn't include my face but were taken at my house and background can be identified, more incriminating info). This is all over less than 48 hours.

Then on my way to work the next morning I get a text message to my google voice and textnow app from a new number with screen shots of my SA profile, my messages, the pictures I had sent, my wife's facebook page, and my facebook page. The messages from a seemed to be a angry husband. I did not respond but I soon got a call to my google voice number from the husband. He lit into me about the situation and told me he was private investigator and that he had caught his wife texting me with her work phone, I remained calm and apologized as much as possible. He goes on and on about what a shitty person I must be and what I have done to my wife and him. He says he is going to hang up now and call my wife. In the back of head I felt like something was off. He says he wants me to tell him why he shouldn't call my wife. I apologized and said what I could. He responds that he now has to divorce his wife and its unfair that he is burdened with this cost and that I should help him out. So I now I am pretty certain that I am being extorted but I am trapped he has my identity and my wife's identity. I am not a rich man or have tons of cash so I braced myself. His number was higher than I had onhand so he accepted what I could pay right now and said I would never hear from him again. I actually believe him on that.

After some research trying to determine how he got my info I discover that Textnow numbers can be researched and the identity of the owner can be found. I also made the mistake of not scrubbing the meta date off of the pictures I took from home. Metadata includes things like GPS coordinates and other such info. Take a look at the website Exif to see more. Finally I had my google number set up to forward calls to my regular number and if a call goes to voice mail the message has my full name on it. So between these things he had all he needed.

I won't say how much he got from me. I am leaving this here for others awareness and maybe caution some of you. It truly shook me and is the closest I have come to what could have been and might still be a life destroying event. I am rethinking my activity in the game.

I had similar incidents but with listed 18 year old. Her fathers narrative was that she was underage and she damaged her car and his truck while backing up her car on her way to our first date. Are you able to share the profile link? Understand if you are uneasy about it. Had a similar experience but it never went very far because she (he) was unwilling to pic verify.

Said married and sent pics of her Facebook account (with her family included) and asked that I do the same. Told her I would only share my pics after she did the pic verification and she wouldn't. The fact that she sent pics of her husband and kids as the screenshot from Facebook was very odd to send to a stranger, so I put the brakes on.
