I don't know about any kind of scam, but a common tactic for some SBs and also girls on vanilla dating sites is called "rinsing. " A "rinser" is basically just looking to rinse as many guys as she can for free dinners / drinks etc without ever putting out. One of the big reasons I do coffee or drinks and usually avoid a full dinner on the first date is it automatically filters out the rinsers. Rinsers have a lot in common with wannabe insta models and influencers. Of course, if you're charming enough a girl who had planned on rinsing you may end up going to bed with you, but that's a low odds game.

I also get the feeling, and this is completely just a guess based on the patterns I've seen doing this over a year, but I suspect rinsing has become slightly less common and most rinsers have moved to trying to get SDs to pay for content instead. That's just speculation on my part.

I've never been hit with a rinse attempt that was just trying to get a free meal. That could be because of how I vet them before the first date, or with how I come across to them (not the type of personality that would be a good candidate for their victim profile).

But more than anything I think it's just that for a girl to get all dolled up and go to the time and effort (and transportation) expense of meeting for dinner, it would not be worth it just for them to get some free food.

So for me at least, the dinner scam is a non issue.

So she's gone from "never done this before" and "a bit nervous" to scheduling 3 meets in a day and at least one the next day. And you have to assume that the guys on this board are a fraction of the guys she's talking to. Odds that this is real have just dropped dramatically. We'll see how it goes. I have serious doubts she's real, but nothing ventured nothing gained. At least she hasn't asked for an advance so I'm only out time & nothing else.

I talked to her under a different profile a little while back and my spidey senses were activated as well. The language in this profile is pretty much the same as I remember it to be in the other. So right off the bat she's lying about being new to this. I recall in one conversation she said she had just gotten back from her first meet up from the site. They went to dinner and shopping. After a while she stopped responding to my texts after I tried to set up a meeting. Maybe keep the meeting on the books and keep talking just to see what happens. Hopefully you've asked to meet in a public location first.

Pretty sure she's a scammer. Talked to her on other profile as well. Then she disappeared and showed up in California. If you notice the UGA photo does not resemble the other pics. Before she'd swapped out the UGA pic with a University Southern Cal pic. She wants to meet up on Sunday so I'll play along.

Yes rinsers. And correct never let them choose where to eat. I think sticking to lunch is a safe play. Plus I have more energy during the day for festivities later on if I get lucky.

I never let them choose the place. I have had some go so far as to even make a reservation at a place without talking to me about where we're going, but of maybe three times that's ever happened that I can recall, I just politely said I had already chosen a place and met them at that place instead. But it's worth mentioning that the girl should never be allowed to choose the place, just to be safe. Her friend could work there and if nothing else convey your real name if you pay with CC (I recommend cash).

About the closest I've gotten to a dinner scam is maybe every now and then a girl orders an extra side that she knows she won't eat at the table so she can have some food to go. I'm not going to complain about another $11 or whatever in the quest for pussy.
