IMHO. The USA is probably the best / safest one on your list.

Thanks for the feedback on American Best Value. With so many other choices, it's not worth the risk to even think of going there.

That's a strange one. How would she extract that fee? My verification did take almost an hour and didn't seem the most organized, my guess is that her assistant may be inexperienced and not the brightest bulb on the tree.

I did revisit Fiorella and it was even better than the first session. She has to be one of best to have visited Hartford. She is incredibly passionate. My vote for the top 3 are Fifth Ave, America's Best Value, and the USA motel.

Bottom three are, Cityside, Almar, and the Elm.

I like America's Best Value. Maybe I stayed there on a "good day"? It was near empty, quiet, and I like the wide open view to the turnpike. In my experience, those hotels that are "tucked away" seem to attract the shadiest clientele and turn into open air drug markets. The Almar might as well be one large trap house. Same with Cityside.

I'm curious, why do we think the game died? It's not just in CT either, it's everywhere. I know BP going away was an issue, but competitors popped up pretty quick and I always thought it would rebound. Never did, and instead has been a slow decline of higher prices and worse quality.
