All this discussion about tipping has me wondering about something I've had happen a couple of times that I call the Reverse Upsell. So, and I will add after protracted negotiations, we agree for a "Business Class" trip for $. 8. This "flight" goes on for awhile but I'm not getting anywhere and I tell the "flight attendant" that I think the trip will go much faster if I'm upgraded to 1st Class. So after a little persuading, I get upgraded to 1st class for price of a business class ticket. Question for the group: Considering the number of times I've had "flight attendants" put the upsell on me, was I wrong and / or was I cheating the flight attendant for trying to get the reverse upsell?

In your original post you stated "allowed roaming" I would think of roaming as a little more than "touched".

Nowhere in your original post did you ever say "we negotiated an agreement before proceeding". You said "standard finish and my standard .2 tip". From that one could think that nothing was negotiated beforehand and that you tipped her after the standard finish. If you negotiated the tip before and she agreed to do it for that amount then great, no problem but you should have written that in your post.
