I've paid a deposit twice. Both times worked out.

First I've never paid a deposit. And over the years I've seen two legit traveling ladies with great reviews on TER who's TRYST ads said they required deposits. I contacted them, explained I don't do deposits, don't know how to do it, have never been a no show, had good references from other legit traveling ladies they could check with, etc. Those two lades agreed to see me without a deposit.
