I use Mandarin for Chinese girl, but sometimes they speak cantonese. I always ask what their native language is and go from there. Sometimes they don't understand English at all so it can be a crap shoot.

That happened to me as well a few years ago. At first I would just stop by and the place was dark, but if you call the number someone should answer. I think the mamasan bounces between NYC and MA so if you call and let them know you have been stopping by they will give you a next available day / time to stop by.
