Even if LEO weren't a thing, 14 really is too young. While I think it is ignorant to assume something magical happens at 18, and I know the maturity to make decisions comes at different ages for each person, we have to draw the line somewhere, and 18 is as good a place as any. I was just surprised that they just spouted that out unprompted. I would assume most people's reaction to that is defensive, even if that is what they are looking for.
