Newbies need to do their job and TOFTT and report. Seniors need to promote that mentality AND return the favor when other seniors share intel freely when asked. Are the newbies a new generation of "I participated give me the trophy?" Honest question.

You are for the most part very much correct. However, there are some few hidden gems out there that are earned through good diligence, respect, and building rapport.
