While I don't have any answer for Waikiki, during my many years of downtown experience, I've found that almost none have tried to "trick" me if asked that question in a respectful and serious manner before any entry into the vehicle. However, that may be influenced by a provider's perspective of whether the particular potential customer could be tricked (for example, an inexperienced and / or naive guy). There have been many news reports about providers of that type on the mainland who've been attacked or even killed by guys who have been tricked.

Maybe the estimated height of "about" five feet, eight inches is too low. She told me that when standing straight up her height is five feet, eleven inches, and based on my standing next to her and walking next to her multiple times, I would tend to believe it. At a minimum, I would think that she is at least five feet, ten inches in height.

For me, her unusual height made the dates with her even more exciting. A height percentile calculator says that among adult American women, a height of at least five feet, ten inches is in the ninety-ninth percentile.

If this was a texting or verbal phone communication, are you sure the person demanding the deposit was the real Ola / Amy? Downtowners sometimes let others use their phones. I don't recall any prior post by anyone stating that Ola / Amy had demanded an advance deposit. Even if it was her, drug-using streetwalkers are generally not known for a high level of truthfulness and reliability. So unless several reputable members can vouch that they paid her an advance deposit and then received the agreed-upon date with no problems, it would seem advisable to be very cautious in this situation.

At the bus stop at King & Beratania a young black girl comes walking from the Leeward side over two King St. She had somewhat of an exaggerated walk, holding a new unlit cigarette.
