First, don't do it. Most addictive thing you will ever try in your life.

If that didn't work:

It's about managing risks. Almost all of the permanent ones now either have very effective PrEP or have vaccines. Herpes does not, and Herpes can spread when not in an outbreak, but the risk of getting it from someone not having an outbreak is relatively low. A lot of the curable ones have post exposure prophylaxis to reduce the risk of getting a full-on infection.

Is it smart to do it? Of course not. None of what any of us are doing here is smart. But if you are going to do it, protect yourself as much as you can.

Confirms protect from pregnancy what are you scared of? STDs are harder to get than you've been made to believe, and can easily be taken care of. I've raw dogged my whole life.
