If you smoke, taking a "smoke break" outside is more reasonable than simply sitting in your car. I'll usually wait in a different lot close by then drive over when ready. LE in each town usually do "property checks" and stroll through the parking lots slowly looking at cars. I've never been approached but have been at some during a few patrols.

Nowadays many cruisers are also scanning plates and recording video.

On this matter of anonymity, online and phone is one thing but it seems the unavoidable part is the cameras now sprawling up in more and more places including hotel hallways, hotel lots, neighboring lots, etc. Perhaps overly cautious, but unless you're ride sharing every time (which is quite impractical), your car is going to be on camera. How long that footage is stored is honestly something I'm not sure about and probably varies from place to place. But seeing more and more news reels on TV of camera shots of suspects shows this is still something to keep in mind IMO.
A police department appears to be able to look back on door cams pretty deeply. Look at the video from Savanna Guthries mom's door cam at her home. They have been able to pull extensive (though not complete) history. In the case of a kidnapping, it makes sense.

The guys essentially acknowledging his wife is hideous while pointing out her redeeming feature of being good with kids.

Walking through hallways, cameras are usually on the ceiling so looking down, at your phone and not directly at the camera. Covid days were easy and just wearing a mask. More often than not, it's not the client but the traffic going in and out of a room is what can get attention especially late at night. Still a lot of these hotels have low paid desk workers that aren't paying attention or owner's family that care more about revenue than the type of tenants. For those that are more paranoid, bring a backpack or a bag of food. Likely no one will question you anyways and even less if looking like delivering food.

Just be smart and don't draw attention. In my years, I haven't had any trouble with or without mitigation. Only once did I almost walk into a sting years back and a different state. It was only my luck a guy with a badge swinging around his neck walked out of the specified room and into the room next door while I was waiting in my car for the go ahead. This was before I learned about review sites.

Thanks KidPort, we all help each other.

This usually shows up as "?=GHShsHsjxFsuv" or something similar starting with a "?. If you leave the tracking strings on and you used the share link from a personal acct, everyone that clicks the link can easily find out who you are. I use burner socials, but I delete that string out of good habit. If you see a post with a tracking string, alert the OP through DM and report the post. If you quote the link, delete the tracking string portion before you post. Protect your brothers and be safe.

Yes. The link I shared was an example. I did alter the tracking string so it doesn't point back to me for example pirposes.

    Tracking string

These are for socials which you have an account and logged in and from that login social you are copying a link and posting here. Is this the scenario that you are referring to?

    https://www.instagram.com/p/DS54Rs4kj2Z/?igsh=bQH2OHxidzhsaYhp

    Components of the link:

    Domain = www.instagram.com
    Type of post = p
    Creators acct string = DS54Rs4kj2Z
    Tracking string = ?igsh=bQH2OHxidzhsaYhp

    Doesn't have tracking string = https://www.instagram.com/p/DS54Rs4kj2Z/

If you do not delete the tracking string portion, it will identify the user that shared the link. Some socials will provide a pop up that shows the sharing user's acct. "John Doe is sharing this post" or says something similar and may even provide a button to follow that user. The user that shared the link can also get a notification like "Jane Doe checked out your link".

These tracking links are used to help the social platform increase followers and creator dashboard analytics. Sites like onlyfans even also make it possible to provide free month's to user's if they share a link with others that pay for a subscription.

So, if you don't want your personal socials exposing you, delete that tracker portion. If you like clicking links people post, copy and paste it, delete the string prior to clicking or create a burner / non identifying social acct so it doesn't matter when it opens under your login.

I had a regular for years and it was prob 70% of the visits early before work. A lot of these girls are also up all night, need to get some business to pay the room & pass out.
