I've got to wonder, there have to be a lot of mongers who exclusively go with escorts and never hit MPs (and vice versa). Otherwise the squeeze on the non-MP side of the bizz would be even stronger.

Back in the day I remember there were some indy escorts who were trying to put pressure on LE to go after AMPs and AAMPs. With some success. Hard to imagine how that would work today because there are so many of them and I don't think LE anywhere has the resources or the political will to make any kind of dent in their operations. Basically it looks to me like there is only enforcement in the Seattle area if some Karen housefrau is complaining loudly. And even then if they shut a shop down two more will open down the street next week.

It used to be, especially on the eastside, that most AMPs or AAMPs had very short lifespans and local police and the County took it damned seriously to get rid of them.

I also have to wonder that at some point we will get to saturation and have too many MPs. For me personally I don't see how that is possible but at some point they have to start being a losing proposition. Kind of like espresso stands when that market took off.

On the demand end, for a lot of messed up reasons the civilian dating market in 2026 is seriously dysfunctional. Especially in a city like Seattle where it is hard to make new friends in the best of times. And there are a lot more people here than there were in the past.

All of above is true. But prices of these sorts of services is highly dependent on local climate. And Seattle climate SUCKS because we have far too much dumb money here. Guys that make a lot, but lack the experience or ability to properly assign value to benefits. So they just throw more money at it, as that's what they've got.

Inflation is directly related to the money supply, generally following the principle that when the money supply grows faster than the economy's output, the value of money falls and prices rise, often described as "too much money chasing too few goods". We've got wayyyyy too much dumb money doing the chasing here, driving prices up and quality down.

No single item in the above list made a substantial difference, but all of them together combined basically made it much more difficult and much less appealing for new providers (especially new younger providers) to break into the market here.

So you have more mongers and fewer providers in that pool. So it is hardly surprising that prices have gone up and providers are skating by giving shit service.

What really nails it is that while prices for indy providers has gone through the roof, the prices you pay at AMPs are only slightly more than you'd expect to pay 20 years ago. At the same time, the number of AMPs has exploded in the Puget Sound area. And there are many more apartment incalls with a couple of Asian women of varying and often questionable vintage offering basic services than are obvious from the ads on STG and Bedpage. So there is a lot more supply on that end of the market.

So what I'm trying to say is that there are only two ways to bring rates for providers down:

1. Get more girls in the business.

2. Get fewer guys mongering.

I deleted my original account back in Feb. and then opened a new one shortly thereafter. Didn't interact with anyone, post reviews or anything. Just a lurker so I could see what providers were advertising, etc. Logged in this morning and my account was banned due to "having multiple accounts". Weird. At this point I have the 3 providers I see regularly on my phone, so I don't need TNA. Just strange.

It's all sort of funny to me because I really don't play with providers directly from TNA. Providers whom I've met on that site mostly came to me via other venues (Aurora being the biggest, the others from other ad sites). The few times in the past five years I have shopped on TNA it's for providers who don't require all of the screening, verification, recommendations, first born child, etc. The last provider I found specifically on TNA was last October when I hit-up DahliaBabyy for a quick HH session. Contact, verify services and rate and I was out the door. Painless, fast, easy and unencumbered by all of this references bullshit. I mean, I get why providers do it but that's not how I want to do it so I don't. And so I haven't needed to. I have zero need for their system. Right now I have two regular girls who I rotate and both are actively on TNA. They aren't part of the discussion-posting crowd, they stay in the background and just do their thing, stay quiet and make their money away from drama. One of those lives in Seattle area but refuses to advertise here, only using the TNA for Portland and Idaho. She told me that the Seattle men of TNA are "weird". So the wild thing to me is that it seems that a small number in that community believe that they can and are able to control and tend the gate for the rest of us, LOL. That's been proven many times that they can't. I've never needed any of their references or other BS. The kind of provider who is likely to put me on her DNS list is likely not someone whom i'd be interested to begin with. Lastly, I can say with 100% honesty that I am not interested in seeing any provider who posts regularly in discussions. Most of those seem too prone to drama, though that could just be me.
