A couple of questions, and then a report.

I will echo this. I know this place now for about 2 years or so. Always have been all about keeping it clean, sheets, even carpets along with bathrooms. So definitely look at another way that could have caused you that discomfort. Definitely yourself super hydrated before and after, should help.

I'm in a dilema now, maybe more of anxiety kicking in because don't want to pass anything to the spouse. Thought I chose the lowest risky L1 thing but even that can be risky I guess.

You might have luck finding a similar fact pattern to yours that will be helpful to allaying your concerns, or you can pay to submit your anonymous question. Reading over responses to other questions, the doctors indicate that (I) the odds of STDs in your circumstances are very low / improbable, (ii) testing after starting antibiotics is of little use, and (iii) frequently people suffer from anxiety about STDs which make them worse.

I can say based on my own background, your physician is absolutely correct. If there was no contact orally, vaginal or otherwise and the only thing she touched you with was her hands, then the chance of you contracting a STI is less than 1%. Your symptoms do indeed sound like either a UTI or simply urethritis (inflammation of the urethra, I. E. The peehole). Would be a little strange to actually get a UTI but not unheard of. My guess is your culture will be negative and your symptoms will resolve on their own with or without antibiotics.

You could always take an anti-inflammatory as well (ibuprofen or aleve) drink plenty of fluids and try to relax about the whole thing.

It was more than one year ago. I got prescribed doxy which fixed it. Tested negative for std but I heard some chlamydia dodges regular urine test.
