You can even go alone next time (showing a card or receipt from last visit), so the discrimination at light service shops tends to be language alone. Anyone who speaks enough Japanese is let into the vast majority of oppai pubs. One time I saw one Asian guy lead 5 White Amerians into an oppai pub, and the Asian guy could barely speak enough Japanese to do it. The shop's main concern is with guys not running out on their tab or breaking obvious common sense rules. The other main concern is if you can't speak Japanese, how will they upcharge you which is their whole business model. That's why if you go with a friend or are a returning customer, they're cool with you.
