Since you asked, I see several mistakes I would avoid in the future.

1. No such thing as a "good read" by texting, a phone call gives me so much information about the person, not only their sincerity but the basic attitude they bring towards meeting you. Maybe you are a young person and not used to talking on the phone, this is a real handicap for this newer generation.

2. I always do an incall first maybe 2 or 3 times. Then we talk about what I need to come to my place.

3. No person comes onto my house unless I know who they are, that means full name and DOB that I have verified ahead of time.

4. The first 2 visits I insist they park in my garage, this keeps no one else showing up with her, and there is no easy "get the money and dash scenario", but by the time I have them to my place the cash and dash is not a worry for me.

Red flag phrases: "we can talk in person" & "I'm very open-minded" which are really euphemisms for "I'll agree to anything over the phone as long as we meet in person first" & "get ready to get upsold a lot".

I'd post them here and the scam reports thread so that this business practice becomes less common at least.

Personally, I'd have thrown her out as retribution but like you said, not a great idea to make an enemy for no reason.
