I feel for you my man. This is the real shit we need to be discussing, at least for us married mongers. Unfortunately, any savvy wife will know that "location unavailable" on iPhone will know that means you purposefully turned it off, and you'd be surprised how frequently wives monitor this. If she doesn't know now, eventually she will see a meme about what the types of location unavailable mean through IG reels or TikTok, I see them floating around once in a while. I usually only use that when I go to bikini baristas, because it's so short and I'm gambling that she won't check it in the 10 minutes I'll be there. Remember women are incredible FBI agents.

Supposedly turning your airplane mode on (and WiFi off) will cut off the live feed, so it won't look like your location is purposefully off, it'll show your last known and look like it's still "loading. " I usually turn on airplane next to a gas station and make it look like I'm there before going to a BB. It's definitely a hassle. I'm yet to actually test what this looks like on another device, so take it with a grain of salt.

The best work around I've seen is to actually buy an iPad (or an old iPhone) and temporarily make it "your" device that shares your location with others. That way ideally she sees "you" at that location (work, wherever) while you are out with your phone doing your thang. Then when you get back, switch your real location back to your actual device.

The risk for me with this one is my work is near my home. So technically she could drop by anytime, and be confused why I'm not there. In this case I've been researching location "spoofers" that you can download onto a computer, plug your phone in, and set a location or make it look like you're traveling on a route, supposedly. I haven't tried it, since many are Chinese and I'm nervous about downloading some foreign software or letting the CCP into my phone, LOL. Anyone have experience with one that actually works?
