Take just the FOB. You can secure your phone, wallet, gun, physical keys, etc in a hidden location inside your vehicle (or in a bulky chained lockbox or whatnot). If someone does get your FOB, they can't drive your car, and have to deal with your hiding spot in your car or a locked box you have secured. This won't work for you fancy pants Push Button start cars.
