Posts: 698They are supposed to announce themselves but I guess they could get a no-knock warrant. Most AMPs will have a camera system set up to give at least some warning, along with locked outside doors. Usually enough time to get yourself straight before they enter. (Granted most of these AMPs nowadays have one or two providers, frequently both busy with no one watching the cameras. Best to always be aware of your surroundings).

Posts: 698The 103 "Johns" are in regard to STG ads and street pickups. They mix all the reports together to make it questionable as to whether or not dudes were also arrested at the spas, but when you see solo spa raid reports there is almost* never reports of dudes getting charged. Usually there's a fun line in the report about "collecting info for ongoing investigations" or about "going after the individuals who frequent these establishments" but it's all mostly scare tactics.

For sure I've heard from mongers after a particularly high profile raid (ex. Warren years ago) that LEO did do some follow up work, arriving at some houses to rattle some cages and ask some questions but as long as you keep your mouth shut or talk via legal counsel you should be OK (with the law; I can't answer for how the missus will take Unc showing up asking questions about your massage visits. Which is just an added benefit for LEO; if they can't get you, at least they can make your life really fucking miserable).

Posts: 698Normally I would say they'd likely reopen, but that fun little tidbit about 3 providers soliciting after known HIV+ test has me thinking they will not. I think that info alone has put a lot of eyeballs not only on Sky but other establishments as well. That's not a line item you ever see in these raid reports.

Posts: 1674It is not the locals. It was the state. As I said, the locals look the other way (AMPs), generally speaking. When we see bigger activity like this, it is the state running a crackdown on trafficking. Unless the business is in Wood or a burb. Those locations do not look the other way. Whether it reopens will depend on how those accused are punished and who REALLY owns / runs the joint. That is mongers looking the other way. Could actually be traffickers, criminals laundering money (That is what happened at Rainbow if memory serves), or it could simply be one person running a semi-legit business, in which case, again, it would depend on the courts and how they are punished. I am betting it will not re-open, time will tell. There is always Jackson.

Posts: 1475Unless they walk in with your dick inside of her. Which, when they do these do they knock and wait for someone to answer or just barge in with a battering ram?

Posts: 216Not sure why anyone would do anything differently. Only the girls got busted at the spa's. As long as you are not on the internet trolling for minors, calling ads from STG or similiar, or picking up girls on the street, I have never heard of a spa client get busted. They just want the place closed down.

Posts: 450So, moving forward, next time you decide to visit your local spa what do you plan to do differently, if anything, to ensure you’re not part of the next sting operation?

Posts: 216None of the guys mentioned are in relation to the Spa's mentioned. They didn't even name the people charged with solicitation in Akron. So as someone else said it would cost a boat load of money to tap a current Spa. When they can send a couple of undercovers in get enough evidence to shut them down and get a headline.

Posts: 1475Waste of time and resources, though. But with this new admin who is on a witch hunt for illegals with ICE I can see how they want to waste time.

Posts: 487Actually, no. In Kraft's case, the police surreptitiously installed audio and video recording devices in the lobby and massage rooms. Neither the owners, nor the girls working there, knew they were being recorded.

How the owners and girls didn't notice these devices, I'll never know.
But yes, a very dedicated LE who was willing to pay a shit-ton of money could potentially set up a trap for johns.

I drove by Sky on Thursday. There were no vehicles in the parking lot. I couldn't tell from the street if there were any lights on in the windows.

Note that numerous agents are masked or blurred where the individuals arrested are clearly visible. (Guilty until proven innocent). Two of them at Sky.
The ladies are out of a job for the time being. Their cash is taken. The property owner had a tenant that is no longer paying rent.
Well done LEO.
Has anyone driven by any of the three in Toledo to see if they have reopened?
