We all make decisions, I made mine knowing full well what I was getting myself into but others may not because they are human and humans make mistakes. You don't need to degrade them for making a mistake. Why could you just move past the post or say something like "Sorry to hear that dude, in the future don't pay deposits".

My post was not meanspirited. It was the cold, hard facts and was not a direct attack on you but rather me despairing over how guys, some who are seasoned hobbyist, continue to make the most basic of mistakes. We are all MEN here. I'm not going to pull any punches or adjust my tone to spare someone's feelings or their sensitivities.
