Does anyone actually get excited when a lady says her birthday is coming up? When they say that, I know they are hoping for presents or extra cash. I personally want no part of that and will avoid seeing them on or near their birthday. They must think that it's a selling point, but not at all for me. I know some of you might like giving gifts, and by all means have at it, but I will avoid them for at least a few weeks after their birthday. Am I the only one?

Been a minute since we've had a rate rant. Neither a newbie nor a lifer, I've had my fair share of experiences in the hobby. I, too, am disappointed with rate increases. Without a lot of disposable income, I try to be strategic in my hobbying, looking for the best value. But for me, higher prices generally mean fewer visits.

I'm amenable to negotiating and asking about specials. If the provider doesn't do specials, fine. I'll either find somebody else or I'll pay her posted rate, and I'll ask again for specials on subsequent visits after establishing rapport.

Inflation happens but I don't have to like it. Below is the value of the dollar, accounting for lesser purchasing power, since the turn of the century. What cost $150 in 2000, now costs $285.

2000: $150.

2010: $190.

2020: $225.

2025: $285.

Logging off so that I can tell those kids to get off my lawn.

I just realized that when I entered the site I clicked the "Frequent Visitors Click Here" link instead of the standard "Enter Here" link!!

Does anyone know how they determine if you're a frequent visitor or not? I haven't been here for a while and am worried I clicked the wrong link to enter. The only good thing is that wasn't logged in, so maybe they don't know it was me? How deeply do they track this? I know they wouldn't have two identical links on the front page for no reason. How much trouble am I in?
