The health guidance requires physicians to report incidence of STIs and STDs to the State Health Department and CDC who use the information for public health tracking. They are not required to report PII. Do let this fear stop anyone from getting tested and treated for STIs or STDs. It is a risk we all take if we choose to go raw but get tested and treated if you get one.

Yes there is such a law and I just gave you a link. I know people who work in these areas and I have heard from them directly about how they have been the people to make the calls and collect the information to do the contact tracing.
