I headed down to go see the Mets play on Saturday and said, why not check out the Blade. Daytime, the pickings were very slim starting from the 70's up to about 100th Street. Some grizzly Asian has been timidly peeking out halfway onto the street from the entrance way of their parlors. The 'tinas were even fewer at the time that I walked past maybe around 2:00 or so.

Overview

After a year away I was back in the NYC area for work. I stayed in the Elmhurst Hotel on 81st again, which is right in the middle of the action. Step outside the hotel door and you're there. I stayed from Sunday evening to about midnight Tuesday / Wednesday. I didn't bring any girls to the room this time (I did last year) but I found some willing to come.

I wasn't able to explore and enjoy as much as I wanted, but I tried to make the most of it. I'd say the area hasn't changed at all with the new administration and supposed immigration changes. In fact, there might be more activity now than last year. Probably the only difference is that some of the latinas are more cautious than before. Girl bars

Speaking of the bars, there are so many on Roosevelt between 70 and 100 street that I can't even count them. Probably between 20 and 30, maybe more. I did a bunch of bar hopping on Sunday and Monday and probably didn't visit even half. These are bars with women available to converse, drink and dance. You sit with her and buy her overpriced drinks. She earns a commission from each drink and officially this is how she makes money. In my experience, the majority are open for pay to play. As usual, the younger ones require some charm and game, while the older ones are comfortable being direct.

On my first night out I met a beautiful 20 something country girl from Colombia. I took my time with her, flirting and dancing and slowly escalating over probably two hours. She gave me her number and I was certain she was down when she smiled at me while I slid my hand under her skirt. I texted a bit with her after leaving, but she ghosted me after I made her an offer to come to my hotel room. Maybe it still felt too transactional for her.

On the same night I wandered into some other bars. I met a busty but somewhat fat woman from Ecuador, probably 45-50 years old. Brothels

Finally, the brothels and street girls. The overall quality of the latinas is a lot higher than the Chinese girls. I would guess most of the Chinese girls on Roosevelt are in their 50's to 60's, while most of the latinas are 20's to 40's. The Chinese women are more aggressive and will call out to as you pass. They will even follow you and pull on your arm if you make eye contact. Again, the latinas tend to be more picky. You may hear a quiet 'hola papi' as you walk by but for the most part you have to approach them. Again, it feels to me that some charm and personality is required with the latinas for best results. The Chinese girls are cheaper and provide reliable service, usually asking $60. Latinas typically start from $100 and are a lot more hit or miss. Although when you do find a hit it is usually with more energy and enthusiasm than the asian girls give. Both experiences can be worthwhile, but understand what you're looking for and what you may be getting.

On this trip, I had two encounters. The first was with a 60 ish Chinese woman around 8 am on Monday. I found her on the 88th to 90th block of Roosevelt near the T. Mezcal bar.
