Posts: 26Well, I'm starving for attention over here on the west side since K was shut down. Although I do agree with other areas, I travel to a couple other cities and I have been quite happy with the constant changing results. Places in this area might be busier if they started to embrace showers and such again.

Posts: 130It's got to be local to your area. I know 2 different cities where we're having a hard time keeping up with all the new openings and getting new / accurate intel on the new shops.

Has anyone tried w spa? Used to be called tiger spa till a karen at BK got tired of seeing her husband's car parked out front and got it shut down. (idk if that true, but I assume that's what happened).
Had the most therapeutic sessions at tiger, wondering if W has the same quality.

Been there, seen a few receptionists, not sure they were amazing, but there is a 7 in there if you are talking about the Latin women. The asian women are about 5's or 6's.

The receptionist at Sunshine is absolutely amazing. We chatted while she gave me a massage and it's probably the most I've connected to someone in the business. Also her hands are great and the finish was pricey but she got me. I was willing to go even higher. My biggest regret on this visit to Atlanta was not getting her name for next time. This will definitely be my only visit the next time I spend a week down here.

Posts: 233Taking advantage is definitely not cool on the customers part. Although I would also say there are also a lot of providers that try to take advantage as well every chance they can. I've seen ones that would take the money and then when you ask for your change they won't give it to you and they will say 'no change. That is my tip'. Sure I agree. If you want to tip them then tip them. However tips are supposed to be decided by the customer. Either that or agreed upon ahead of time. Not taken by or decided the service provider. Then if you try to ask again for the change back they pretend they don't understand what you are saying. That type of stuff really pisses me off. So I just went ahead and memorized how to say what they claim not to understand in their language. The look on their face is usually one of shock and then they give it back.

Rebrand all massage parlors as dance, studios teaching Chinese folk dancing. There's nothing illegal about that.

Posts: 327Wait til the new rules become in effect this summer
The Georgia Board of Massage Therapists will be rolling out the new rules this summer, which will make it very easy to shut shops in this state. For example:

(c) Maintaining records for each client session;.
(a) Refrain from participating in a sexual relationship or sexual conduct with the client.
Whether consensual or otherwise, from the beginning of the client / therapist relationship and for a minimum of six (6) months after the termination of the Client / therapist relationship, unless an ongoing current sexual relationship existed prior to the date the therapeutic relationship began. In the case of a pre-existing, ongoing sexual relationship, providing therapeutic massage and bodywork on such a person is discouraged, but may be done with informed consent which acknowledges.
The power differential in a therapeutic relationship and the complexities of dual relationships;.
(b) In the event the client initiates sexual behavior, interrupt therapy to clarify the purpose of the therapeutic session. Provided that the client's initial sexual behavior ceases, the Licensee may, at his or her discretion, take action to terminate or continue the session. The Licensee shall terminate the session if the sexual conduct continues;.
(c) With the exception of a pre-existing ongoing sexual relationship, as set forth in (a).
Recognize that sexual activity with clients, students, employees, supervisees, mentees, trainees, or anyone else with whom a power differential exists, is prohibited even if consensual;
(d) Not touch the genitalia;.
(e) Only provide therapeutic breast, gluteal and inner thigh massages:
1. As indicated in the plan of care;.
2. After receiving informed voluntary written consent; and.
3. Only if the licensee is permitted to do so under state law.
Needless to say, no AMPs do this kind of record keeping. These rules have been extensively revised for this year with a focus on cleaning up the massage industry.

My main spa keeps telling me it has been slow and I would say they have been saying this since at least late last fall. I think for the most part it's the economy. It's really in the shitter despite what you read. Lot of layoffs going on. It seems like some of the LEO pressure is off but still could have something to do with it. I had heard there were some changes in the massage parlor licenses. I think either way it's a good time to get in good with your favorite AMP. They really need and appreciate the loyal customers. They are also wary of another Tik toker trying to get hits on his channel. I know that last guy put one shop out of business and retired a few very good providers. I mean the only good thing I can say about the economy is we are 17 months in this toilet of an economy. Generally the down cycles don't last more than 18-24 months. Same goes for strip clubs. I think they are really hurting worse. I was in Europe and went to one club on a Monday and it was completely empty other than the girls. It was one of the main clubs. Went to one of the main clubs in NYC last summer and it was dead on a Saturday night. But like I said use some of this downturn to try to see if you can bargain for better service.
