In my experience I always ask them to wear something that I prefer. If there's any pushback and they are stern on wearing what they want. I can already tell the date is not going to go the way I want it to so I don't go thru with the date and cancel and save myself the time.

Yes I had the same experience with her, she is nice and clean, but no extras.
