Rent, last time I saw this scam it works like this. You show up on the floor. She sends message or calls to tell you give roses to guy in room xxxx and he'll give you her room number. You leave roses with guy in room xxxx who then gives you her room number. You knock on her room and there's no one there. You go back to his room. No answer. Or, he answers with our friends Smith and Wesson.

So clearly not legit but my question is this: any idea how the scam was supposed to ultimately play out?

You probably realize this already but the photos on both of those ads are of a fairly famous porn star. XO Gisele or something like that.

Nope, they almost always answer immediately when I text. I can say the Super 8 did have the front door locked last time I went which they never used to do back in the day. The service was really good that time though in the end.

I have had those texts too. They don't seem to have a direct tie to the last number dialed. I got one when I hadn't touched that phone in weeks. I think you are mistaken to tie it to her. I have seen her several times and she isn't the type girl to play games. She also has had the same number for a good while. In fact since you post I have contacted and met her again.
