Red flag one: ad appeared and disappeared on Tuesday.

Red flag two: no info outside of these 2 ads anywhere.

Red flag three: no response at appointment time and then called me over an hour later.

Ok at this point I should have known better. Especially since the ad is TGTBT.

I turned around and headed back to hotel. Red Flag four: Voice call verification as she requested but still wouldn't give room number. Just a floor. So I left.

I found out later that another hobbyist I know had tried to book and our appointments would have overlapped. I know double booking is a thing but not at this price point.

It felt like one of the "waste the clients time until he feels pot committed and then ask for verification or gift card" situations. Or the leave the fee under a rock then come to the door so we don't have to change hands. But that request never came.

So clearly not legit but my question is this: any idea how the scam was supposed to ultimately play out?

I have had those texts too. They don't seem to have a direct tie to the last number dialed. I got one when I hadn't touched that phone in weeks. I think you are mistaken to tie it to her.
