Posts: 1222Or...she didn't want to admit to someone she knows that she fucks strangers for $ LOL. I find that more likely than a vengeful ex bf going through all the trouble to setup an account on the site, especially since she pulled it right after someone she knows asked about it (whereas a vengeful ex likely wouldn't, but instead deny knowing about it while leaving it up). Not saying vengeful ex boyfriends won't do shit, but there's a lot other options that are less effort and / or higher impact than "make a fake dating profile on a p2 p site".

There are fake accounts everywhere. Either from the site owners or others. Ashley Madison was full of fake accounts.

Another great way to weed out possible fakes is check to see how long it's been since they have logged in. If they haven't logged in since they created the account, they are most likely fake.

Posts: 1816And if they removed all those fake profiles of hot girls, then there wouldn't be that many left and then the site then seems less worthwhile to men who haven't subscribed yet (and talked to the fakes/scammers). It's better for Seeking to have fake profiles than no profiles, for a certain town or city or region.

I don't know how to fool it with the selfie step. Maybe have to go downtown and pay some random homeless dude to let you "take his photo". Or I wonder if this could be done online at one of those "fiverr" type sites.

Anybody seen this disgusting hood rat. She text me out of the blue on seeking asking me if I want to get sucked up. LOL. She's in Kennesaw, per her ads location. Anyone seen this girl? Looks like a Listcrawler chic.

Posts: 477I'd hope that's the case
But seeing as SA makes money off us mongers and not the girls, I bet they don't have to play by the same rules. But I really would like them to clean up the site with all those fake women / profiles. Luckily you can sense a bot / scammer profile form a mile a way, but it makes the search that much harder when I have to sort through 100's of profiles to find a few real girls.

Posts: 300I figured seeking would finally change policy since the site has been completely overrun with fake accounts and scammers.

Posts: 512I have my doubts about the girls having to pass this, I've already blocked several obvious scammers, all with recent profiles. But we can hope.

The one good thing about this, it ought to mean that any new profiles of girls that show up have been verified in the same way, meaning they will be real people too.
It also motivates guys to keep their behavior in check, since old, grandfathered (no pun intended) profiles that didn't require this verification take on added value.
I have posted recently about old profiles that are clearly fake but have been resurrected, I am sure that is a scammer play.

Basically if you try it on the computer it makes you scan a QR code to open the app in your phone to allow camera access for a selfie. So you can't get around it having to be a selfie. Tried using a filtered pic that looks similar to me and it failed too, and it's a pic that previously had passed on my old SA account that I'd used as a profile pic. It was basically as you said, found a pic that looks like me using a real pic and it's some random guy but the AI can tell it's not an actual selfie. This is unfortunate.

Edit to add - if you try to open new account on your mobile device it automatically opens your camera, you can't upload the selfie. If you do it on a computer it requires a mobile device to scan a QR code that also opens your camera. So you'd have to snap the pic on your phone and hope it thinks it's a selfie, which it seems smart enough to tell you're taking a pic of a pic

Posts: 3246Here's where face rec comes in handy. Use your real photo to find pix online that look a lot like you, but aren't. Search for them w / tineye and the face rec software to be certain they don't show you as someone pulling pics off the web for this purpose.

Posts: 1816That seems to be the case. Optional with old acct, but mandatory when creating new account.

They just added that verification picture thing it keeps asking me if I would like to I just X out of it. So I'm thinking if you are just opening a account its a must if you have a old account its optional.

Posts: 1816Yeah if any girl says I knocked her up, I'm going to just offer to drive her to another state if necessary, and pay for the abortion, in person, with cash. It's just not worth the risk of 18 years of child support, even if she is trying to scam you.

Posts: 1816I just like to periodically make a new account, especially if my current one has a "strike" on it (from a girl reporting me for nonsense) and if it gets another one, could be shut down at any time.

I doubt it is that easy, but I will play around with it and report back.
