You're overthinking this. LOL. Just wish them Happy New Year. I'm sure they would appreciate any acknowledgement from someone who's not Chinese. While people give red envelopes to everyone these days, it was kinda originally for children. So I wouldn't do tips in a red envelope. Like I said, just wish them Happy New Year, maybe give them an extra 10 and say it's for Chinese New Year if you want.

Chinese New Year Started last Wed the 29th. Many here are hard core business but the ladies are real.

A little effort means a lot for their culture. A red envelope for the tip, a red chocolate bar, a nice happy new year.
