    Madison overpromises and under delivers

One of the dancers said they're adding a DJ booth up front where the two VIP rooms used to be. They're going to serve food and alcohol where the bar is. Also added drywall in certain areas. They also told me that they're going to have someone watching in the lap dance area for how many dances they do. There were about 15 to 20 guys there but nobody was tipping on stage. The DJ was getting a little upset. There were about 12 dancers there. I guess most of the dancers didn't get their dancer's license by the start of the new year. They can't get it until they come back. I got a dance from Madison. She will offer full service in VIP but I decline because she want it too much. I did 3 for 100 with her then I left. Next time I go I'm going back to days again. LOL.
Good thing you didn't go to VIP with her. She's a scam. She overpromises what she'll do for you in VIP but doesn't deliver what was promised. And she demands for payment up front, which should be a red flag.

When dancers became employees in CA it meant that they get a salary (minimum wage, of course) and breaks and probably some other benefits. The club has to make that money back somehow. One of those ways is taking a cut of every dance. You pay the club manager $40 and he gives some portion of that to the dancer afterwards. In some clubs the girl won't get a dime of that dance money until she's met her quota that covers her salary and whatever benefits. That can definitely put a damper on a girl's enthusiasm. This model does tend to encourage extras insofar as that extra incentive is needed at a given club. If the club is taking a cut of dance fees but not her tips she's going to be incentivized to want more in tips.

    Who invited the government?

Dances are now at a fixed price, so there's no negotiating or 3/$100 type deals.

This was from a report on Rick's and a similar report I saw on Pandoras.

Anyone been to the clubs this past week that can shine some light on rumors and changes?
    I have questions;.

So, how is that "Stripper's bill of rights" working out? Is the government making the clubs a safer place? Do any of the real sex worker want to have a word with the folks who gathered at the capital?

Is this greed? Alcohol sales and the door fee are not enough? Now the club needs to put their hands in the dancer's pockets? (OK purse) Or is this a mandate of the "bill of rights"? To have alcohol in the the club, do they need to have a scarecrow-hall monitor over looking the LDA?

Change is not always good, but change is the only thing you can count on to happen. I am glad I got to live during the "good ole days".

    Same here in Texas

I was at the Spearmint Rhino 2 months ago and they had a similar set up. I was going to Cashapp the dancer and she said you had to declare how many songs and a manager would collect the money. I'm a SC veteran and it's the first time I've seen this.

    Alcohol at the clubs?

Have they started serving alcohol at the clubs yet? If so, has that affected availability of extras?

The other plus of the strip club is you can sample many girls till you decide on the one you really want but of course that all comes at a price to get there. Over all AMP you def get more bang for the $$.
At a strip club, I am pretty sure the person providing services to me it is not human trafficked. At an AMP, I would be surprised to find out the girl was not human trafficked. She probably is. Because of this, I will not go to an AMP.

    - Not enough consistency on who will be where when. At clubs, fairly predictable schedules reduce the odds of disappointment. It is discomfiting to just walk out.

    - Total lack of visual info. Ads seem baited, not representative of who will be available. Instagrams help but seem to be used only by dancers.

    - Lack of choice in the moment and no ability to preview and decline such as is provided by stage dances.

    - The club model provides time to decide if / who / what. Once you've paid the cover, the club doesn't care what you do.

Upon reflection, I suspect that they differ in ways that reflect their origins: AMPs work more like war-time brothels while SCs resemble taxi-dance halls. Taxi dancing provided cover for providers trolling for customers for OTC engagements. It was safer than street / bar hustling and provided plausible deniability. Not all of those gals, but not zero.

    Why _not_ AMP?

For me banging in a Strip Club is a rare treat. For my money Strip Clubs are a great place to recruit for action at a hotel. That takes time, money, and patience -- three things that most mongers either don't have or don't like to waste. You do get to see the product before you buy and on average that product is better looking (in my opinion) than either escorts or AMPs, sometimes far better looking. Yeah, there are some bowsers out there but you can easily skip out on them. It is far easier to just ignore an ugly stripper than it is to get rid of an escort with fake or glammed up pictures that shows up at your door.

And you'll never see a stripper with a missing nose or spectacular scars on her face.

For me part of the club appeal has been you're essentially in public. There's a level of privacy but it's not like being in a hotel room. You can walk into the LDA and see heads bobbying in laps, dancers bouncing on laps, etc. Or you can be the one being seen. I know some people aren't into that but for me there's a bit of an adrenaline rush to it.

There's also a bit of "victory" when you get a dancer to leave work early and meet up somewhere. Most times that won't happen your first visit, it won't happen with every dancer, and it won't happen for every guy.
