I don't know if I ever read or heard anything from the mainstream media that didn't parrot the press releases that were written by Demand Abolition including Sheriff Urqhuart's initial press conference. Here are some articles written by the alternative media that revealed the truth.

While the Seattle was being overrun by homeless and police not responding to property crime, the cops were busy spending money fucking providers to gather evidence and setting up fake massage parlors to nab immigrants on prostitution charges.

I do think there's a lot of differences between this particular site and the ones we are discussing here, namely the location of the server, ownership, etc. That being said, you are correct: People were prosecuted and their reviews were used as evidence.

Suppose you're not using a "no-logs" VPN (preferably one you pay for that doesn't collect your info (mullvad comes to mind); you aren't safe. If you use the same username across all the sites for hookers, you aren't being safe. If you don't use a private email service like Protonmail, you aren't being safe. If you're doing public meetups in bars and loudly discussing your hooker hobbies, you aren't being safe. Banging hookers isn't a team sport, IMO, at least in the US.
Some of these poor dipshits did everything they could to help the cops find them. And the assholes that funded this couldn't resist.
And finally, if you don't like the fact that the prosecution used private donors to fund this witch hunt, well, hold on to your hat. You ain't seen nothing yet.

Yes! It's great to see a post from someone who knows the facts of the case. The Swanee Hunt angle was another totally insane aspect of this shitshow. She was paying to impose her brand of "justice" on men because her own father — a wealthy Texas oil man — was a frequent monger himself. In what world is THAT legal? She should have been thrown in jail herself, along with the King County prosecutors who took her money and promptly followed her orders.

I'd assume court records would fall under the spirit of arrest / incarceration reports. You could redact the names and it seems like that would follow the spirit of the restrictions. Maybe admin could clarify.

I saw a lot of those girls who were "liberated" by the Bellevue and KC police. I remember seeing my ATF 2 days before the raids. There were contractors all over the housing complex where Mischa ran the main AMP. That day my spidey senses were going crazy. My ATF asked me to write a review, which I'm glad I did not because lots of those guys who wrote a review got popped when other mongers would ask in an email if they would recommend the provider. Val Richey and KC got warrants to search email providers for those people who had posted on TRB. If they found any personally identifiable information linking you to your email account and you had something positive to say about a hooker, they busted you.
Anyway, the whole thing was fucking bullshit as it was all funded by Swanee Hunt who wanted to make an example out of hobbyist. During late 2010's Seattle basically experienced the Monger's Salem Witch Hunt funded by a bunch of batshit crazy feminist. They were so worried about people paying for sex that you could get a way with doing drugs on the street and the cops wouldn't do shit.

Yes, Elizabeth Nolan Brown is one of the few journalists in the world covering this business in a fair and objective manner. She doesn't shy away from the occasionally ugly side of it, but she's also not afraid to expose the government lies and corruption that infect nearly every prosecution in the pay-for-play world. She deserves more attention for her stellar work, but of course she will never get it. She's made too many enemies by telling the truth.

I hadn't gone back far enough in her stuff. She's clearly got a thing for calling out the government on "sex" or "human" trafficking bullshit. May the good lord bless her. Here's another one of hers that I read earlier today, and more recent.

Pay particular attention when it starts explaining how the District Attorney's narrative fell apart.
"The systematic importation of vulnerable young women for sexual abuse, exploitation, and criminal profiteering has been going on for years and it came to a stop this week," Satterberg added. "This is what human trafficking looks like." ... But as more information about the case has become available, Satterberg's narrative starts to break down. The realityas evidenced by police reports, court documents, online records, and statements from those involvedis far less lurid and depraved. Instead of a story of stark abuse and exploitation, it's a story of immigration, economics, the pull of companionship and connection, the structures and dynamism that drive black markets, and a criminal-justice system all too eager to declare women victims of the choices they make.
The court documents, as I noted earlier, are available from King County and a pain in the ass to order them and read through such a high volume of material. But for anyone with the wherewithal to do it, the court docs provide great insight into law enforcement lies and corruption. I read them real time, while the case was winding its way through the court system, including the appeals process. The other dismaying aspect of this whole charade was how the press (except for Reason) repeated the District Attorney's lies, when the court docs clearly contradicted what he was saying publicly about "human trafficking" and the girls being "victims" who were forced to work against their will. It was all bullshit, piled on top of bullshit.

King County turned what should have been a minor misdemeanor case into a mountain of illegitimate felony charges that ruined the lives of dozens of good men, nearly all of whom had no criminal record prior to that. Most of the men took plea deals, because they didn't have the resources or the desire to fight the case. Peters fought the law, and lost, because the entire system was determined to railroad him. Any reasonable person who takes the time to look at the actual facts of this case (and not the government and media hysteria) would come to the same conclusion.

How about a link to the non-fake news Reason article you cherish? I'd like to read it. Also, a link to those court documents would be nice if you want folks to see what you keep mentioning.

That's incorrect. You are confusing Peters with a group who owned and maintain The Review Board in the Seattle area. TRB and the so-called League were two separate things. LAKS was a separate thing. Kgirldelights was a separate thing. The prosecution attempted to lump them all together into one ominous sounding criminal organization, when that was NEVER the case. Some members overlapped, but it was not an organized crime ring, nor was Peters charged with any of that in court. He was charged with writing reviews, aka, "promoting prostitution. " All eleven felonies were for writing reviews. Nothing else. Look it up.

It was because he created and operated the website the reviews were written on.

“He did as much as anyone to build and advance demand for prostitution in the Pacific Northwest,” a seven-page case summary written by Senior Deputy Prosecutors Gary Ernsdorff and Ben Gauen says of Peters, noting he financed the creation of a now shuttered website that exclusively advertised prostituted Korean women, known as “K girls.”

There is nothing at all the same about the site the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen in Bellevue started and this one. The guy who owned it was in the US, the servers were in the US and he insisted on meeting people before they became members. Those guys used to meet at restaurants around Bellevue and compare stories and didn't care who heard them. Eventually the cops sent somebody around who joined the group and took it apart from the inside.
Our servers are in Malaysia, NONE of us are in the US, not a one of us. The URL is registered in a country that doesn't respond to subpoenas, (see the .nl at the end of the address) and we are not US owned. None of you are known to us, I couldn't authenticate a user if they tried to make us. We don't have your name, no credit card info, no addresses no IP addresses, nothing. We are as anonymous as a site can possibly be. About the only way you could be tied to this site would be if you got caught like DPR did with the site open on your phone or laptop.
This pops up every couple years and some assholes like to tell horror stories.
Some of you guys who have been around might remember that we were closed for a few months after Fosta/Sesta got signed. That's when we moved everything out of the country.
Some of you guys make me laugh with the things you claim to know.

You need to read all the way to the end. When everything was said and done, there was only one person who got serious prison time (5 years). And it wasn't for soliciting prostitution, or human trafficking, or driving k-girls around town, or leasing apartments for them. His eleven felonies were all based on the reviews that he had written and posted on various sex boards.
