Go to STDcheck.com. You can get tested and if positive have a prescription from there Dr. You setup and online acct. (create a gmail acct just for this) pay them, go to a testing center (usually labcorp) and get the results to your email. As clean a way to do it as I have found having a SO. Not the cheapest but was quick and simple.

If you went a few weeks ago and are just now experiencing symptoms, it's probably not linked. Unless you have been sexually inactive with your SO since your visit to moon, it's too late to worry much about that; she already had anything you brought home. It's lost likely a coincidence and attributable to something else. If you're prone to kidney stones, that's a logical explanation. A doctor once told me how powerful your mind can be. If you're stressed and think you might have a problem, your mind will feel every normal tickle and burn you have down there which it normally ignores as normal. Getting tested is the only way to put your mind at ease. My money is on you are fine and it's mostly an overactive sensitivity with your mind playing tricks on you.

This is all of course if you're providing the right timeline. If it was within the last week, you should probably get tested ASAP.

In your experience. Would you say hsv1 is a deal breaker? My arrangement has agreed to std test at my will and go to the doctor for birth control and anything else. She's definitely playing ball but if my test comes back negative for hsv1 I'm not sure how to go about it LOL it would mean just sex and no kissing from what I keep getting. As I said, a majority of Americans have HSV1 and it isn't an STI. I don't worry about it and don't think a girl should either. And if your SO gets out of kilter about you having HSV1, have her read facts on the CDC website. It means absolutely zero. You could have had it for decades. And if you just picked up recently, it doesn't indicate cheating.

The seropositivity in the US population as a whole is about 70% for HSV-1. So, your statement is factually incorrect. It is the cause of cold sores, inter alia, and can be transmitted by kissing, by drinking after someone, etc. It is not a STI, though for one reason or another, it is often included in testing panels.

More interesting, there is a demographic difference in the HSV-2 seropositivity incidence. You should look up the age and ethnic prevalence, and use that to inform who you play with.

Personally, like most guys w / a SO, a HSV-2 diagnosis for me would be a HUGE deal. I take no chances.

Hvs-2 is the strain that causes genital herpes and the one you should be worried about. Even with Hvs-2 unless there is an active outbreak the chances of getting that is very slim.

I've had it since I was like 5. Generally it's cold sores on the lips. The estimate is that like 60% of the population has it. Some have it but never have a breakout. And you'd most likely know if she had a breakout, they're generally hard to miss. Valtrex works well to suppress breakouts. You can get it through Hims pretty easily. Best of luck.

As the previous post said, hsv1 is common. It's Hsv2 that you don't want to take it home.

It's fine to discuss but probably beyond the scope of this particular forum. Just don't make your risk decisions based on rumors about which agencies might be high or low risk, perception of who is "low volume", etc.

If you are going to go BBFS I would recommend at the very least getting a prescription for Doxy PEP. Protects against chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis. If you want another layer of protection then HIV PREP. I've talked to some kgirls and they say they are already on these.
