With a keylogger, they can see everything you're doing on the phone and tailor their scam to your situation.

I just use the texting apps. Free, nothing for them to trace since it goes through the texting apps servers, and super easy to just keep switching numbers. I got msgs about killing me and my family and they wouldn't stop texting so I just told them to tell me my name. They stopped.

This is part of the reason I have taken a significant break lately from the hobby. The talent around here has severely dropped as of late. If not and there is someone actually on my list of interest, they are trying to charge the most outrageous prices for the most basic of menus and terrible service at the same time.
