Let me just say that Diamond Jamboree sucks. It used to be a top place in Irvine back in the day 10+ years ago, but it has massively fallen off...

My alternative lunch place is a strip mall right by the airport at MacArthur & Main which has Poke Dot (good poke bowl place) & Cluck Chicken (good fried chicken place) & Paderia Bakehouse, which was a good dessert place but I recently stopped going because they kept raising their prices too much. I now take the GF to Moulin nearby in Newport for pastries instead. Another option on the other side of town is Hako, a Korean place. Near that area are BJ's Brewhouse & Lazy Dog, which both have good happy hour & specials. If you want a nice restaurant, Houston's is probably the best. A good place that is healthy & a lot cheaper, Panini Kabob Grill, is right across the street.
