For HIV, you can take PrEP which can be about $12K a year without insurance. There is a generic version but that may be phased out in the future, hard to say. If you are not doing anal, at least the risk is low but not zero. However, note the guide above. There are so many things a thousand times more likely and ten times worse than HIV.
