I signed up for next door when I moved to Charlotte three years ago. This weekend I did a deep dive into the app and played around. Yikes!

At the top of the home page there is a search bar. Next to the search bar there is a little man with a + sign, next to the man is a chat box.

If you click the (man+) "suggestions" of neighbors pop up who you might already know. Wow. About 10 providers popped up who I've seen.

I have no idea how Nextdoor connects me with providers I've seen but somehow there is a connection. I then went and clicked on every provider and blocked them from seeing, viewing, or connecting with me. I'm just reporting here on what I've discovered. I'm just sharing what is new information for me.

That's interesting. El Poblado is a very affluent neighborhood or at least it used to be back in the day. I haven't been back in years more like 20+ years. Do you know about other places like Cali or Bogota? I guess I might have to start planning a return to Cartagena. Thanks for the info.

You might be correct my friend. She probably has a good paying job but wonder why such a nice looking lady is out in the streets with a board, asking for money. She got my attention with that baby. She did say she has an apartment nearby. More power to food stamps I guess. But regardless a good deed always gets paid off in the long run, little or small.

Her husband might have a job possible but her job is hussltling with the baby. People from other countries get major food stamps unlike the American citizens who may get 100 bucks or less after working all their life now they old need help because SSI doesn't go far enough. THese people get thousands a month in stamps free apartments a decent check. A family of 3 or 4 or 5 getting 3 k a month they got plenty of stamps to sell. One of the best hussels is put a pretty woman on the streets begging. Even some pimps turned from their women tricking to standing at red lights making hunfreds a day. But when it comes to giving we give from the heart we don't question if the person is legit ot not if they going to buy drugs get drunk, or in her case looking like she got a new Benz out of sight saying I won't help her because she rich. Because really we don't know. Your heart was in the right place you wanted to help the little girl and if the lady was lying she will answer to it in one form or another.

This chick at QT ask me for a cig I gave it to her went in store came out she was sitting in back going over lotto tickets she got out the trash can. I gave her 10 bucks and a pack of cigs she was happy. I thought about asking for BJ because she was kinda cute about 24 nice little body but looked homeless. I decided to let the good deed be it and rode off. It bothered me until now I'm glad I didn't ask her now. She may have did it maybe not she was happy and looked as if she was shocked I did that for her. After reading this I'm glad I rode off not because she may have cussed me out but because it pays to do a good deed. I wouldn't have took her to walmart on a shopping spree without asking can we go to a room first. And most likely if she from another country looking good smelling good that was just her hussel, I'm sure she makes more than a good paying job and her man was near by. I bet they got a nice free apartment pleny food stamps and run game when their check get low.

Went to Home Depot on University city. On the parking lot saw a beautiful lady with a 6 month old baby. She had a big board saying, she needs money for the baby. I saw folks giving her a dollar or two. She talked good English and said she was married and was from Romania. I felt sorry for the baby and asked what she needed. That's all, boom came the big list. She wanted diapers, baby bottle, baby formula, wet wipes and the list went on and on. I said let's go to Walmart and may be I can buy you some stuff, if not all. I genuinely felt sorry for the baby. She and the baby jumped into my car and she gave me a good hug. She smelled really well and I am a guy who loves ladies who have good hygiene. She was a nice looking mommy. So my monger mind made a move. I said, I am willing to help you out and was wondering if you could help me out also. May be whenever you are free you can give me a massage or so. I really don't do FS as I am married but like the excitement which the hobby brings. All hell broke loose when I said that. She accused me of being manipulative and heart less and said she did not want anything from me. She said she had morals. I felt kinda embarrassed and gave her some money for the baby. She refused and stepped out of the car. This was a new experience for me and I felt really bad. Just sharing and talking out loud.
