I'm not a Dr, so I can't say for sure, but Doxy PEP (sorry, it's PEP, not PrEP) is different than treating an actual infection. My Dr knew all about it when I asked about it, and she didn't hesitate to prescribe it. I don't know if it works or where the concept came from, but it's different than treating an existing infection.
