Just to let you know; Doxy won't touch Gonorrhea. And Chlamydia needs 5 days of Doxy (Twice a day 100 mg tabs) to be effective. The best is taking a gram of Zithromax for post Chlamydia Exposure and or treatment--beware kind of hard on the stomach adn you may get pretty nauseated. Really 2 grams of Zithro is standard treatment for Gonorrhea.

I'm not a Dr, so I can't say for sure, but Doxy PEP (sorry, it's PEP, not PrEP) is different than treating an actual infection. Doxy PEP is to be taken with 24 hours of the act to prevent an infection from taking hold. It's a thing that Dr's are prescribing. My Dr knew all about it when I asked about it, and she didn't hesitate to prescribe it. I don't know if it works or where the concept came from, but it's different than treating an existing infection.
