I am an over thinker, I was wondering if LE can accuse you of a felony for something that you did before that act was a felony. Let's say they have evidence that you were mongering before Dec 1 but are waiting for the misdemeanor to become a felony and then bring the charges against you. Would that be legal or even possible??

Yes, I agree. I am hesitant with the mix of surveillance and "vetting" used by the traveling asian companies. Ring camera, histories are in High Resolution and there is no telling who else can see the feeds. Feels as if that is a perfect mix to blackmail, or at least get your ass put under significant legal duress. I will not agree to provide, IDs, real work information nor pay any deposit. It is just not worth the risk right now IMO until the laws are sorted out.

That has always been my rule even before learning about the new law. I'm not giving any of them any real information for any reason.

Just getting back and now reading about this law and no time to search if this has been covered or not but did anyone hear about a bust of a pop up brothel in Morrisville? Also a vice investigation of airbnbs houses being used by Chinese guest with ring door bell camera footage of mongers coming and going. Saw allot of work truck in those videos. Looks like Its time to head back into retirement again!

Many people do not realize this fact. You can get arrested for any reason. It might not stand up in court but guess what the arrest never goes away.

Many of you complain about $200 rates and now you're talking about having a lawyer on retainer? Do you realize how much that costs?

Also, just getting arrested is enough to really mess up your life, even if charges are dropped later.
