Question for y'all, I might be a little paranoid, but what can someone do if they have access to your wifi and password. Had a provider come to my place, she speaks no English only Spanish and had her friend who was a girl drop her off and wait in the car for her while we finished. But within 2 minutes of her arriving, she asked for me for the wifi along with the password. It seemed like she wanted it to go online to play some music for us, or maybe message a friend. At the time I didn't think anything of it, so I connected her to the wifi and typed it in for her on her phone along with my password. She didn't seem sketch and everything went fine.

But looking back, I wish I had just told her I don't have wifi I only use cellular. I looked up some things on reddit, found out that people can access your wifi from a mile away and people have gone as far as to say that your identity could be stolen along with your bank info. Whereas others say there is so much encryption now a days that they can't do any of that, and the only thing they can get away with is free internet and maybe mess with your router or password. It's just a bunch of mixed responses. I haven't seen any questionable activity yet, but I'm still cautious.

If you are not comfortable you should change the password regardless of what people think is safe.
