Last night around 5 pm, there was quite the disturbance at the corner of Pinehurst and Western Ave. A group of young women have been operating (what all of us neighbors thought) a small business with massage and esthetics services in the long vacant commercial building on the corner. They seemed like very nice people but last night, their operation was shut down. A disgruntled woman showed up with mace and got into a confrontation with one of the workers. Multiple police, fire and ambulances showed up. It was insane! Then the police put a Stop Work and Cease and Desist Order on the doors. We had no idea what in the world was going on. Turns out, the woman who came with the mace was trying to stop their illegal prostitution operation. YIKES! We have no idea if this is true or not, obviously, but it remains closed down.

So unfortunately my experience was subpar this time. I got Tina who was fun and nice. Some places have alot of turnover, but some woman work at the same place for years, others months before turnover.

Some of the places I named have been around for years, some are relatively new. Think 1628,1314, Ninetails, May opened in the past year others I named have been around for years.

It varies depending on the place, but I think overall there is less turnover than you think.

While there are more reviews in the Albany thread than most, I still wish there was more. There are many spots where there's been hardly any reviews, and feel I don't know how a visit would go.

One or 2 positive reports after a place opens doesn't mean much. Look what happened with me at 1314 couple weeks ago.

Here is a list of places I wish we had more info on: 1383 Broadway, 1628 Union, 1314, new place in Rotterdam, Smile Spa, Sun Wellness, Eastern Pkwy, Ninetails, May Spa.

Some of these places were reviewed alot years ago, like 1383, but that was years ago, and there have been changes since then. Or Eastern a year ago when Alice was there but that's meaningless now.

And yes I know some of tjese have 1 or 2 fairly recent reviews, but that's not enough to be meaningful, again look what happened to me at 1314..

Other than price and description of facilities and process, think reviews of the AMPs don't have lot of value. If not my thing, but seems like staff in these places turnover weekly at most and places themselves open and close constantly.
