Just wanted to see what has been successful for most of you when you have created a new account. Have you used a VPN or does SA even care if you do it from the same IP address? I just don't want to create a new account and then immediately get flagged and be out the money.

I created a new account without VPN or trying to change my IP address. I did use a different browser (Firefox) and I did it in private mode. They seem to have gotten a lot stricter with photos and I think that may actually have been what got me on my last profile because all of my photos were of other people with blurry faces. This time I found a middle aged guy with somewhat similar body characteristics and uploaded 4 of his pics. I created the account on Saturday, paid for it on Monday with a prepaid card from giftcards.com and so far no issues. I will say that this time I left my profile as searchable and I'm surprised at just how many women message me. I've always left it on hidden and I've been the one doing the messaging. This is kind of a nice change, although I really wish they had a way to block people that aren't in a set location or at least not in the same country. Just wanted to report what worked for me so far.

She also drinks a lot, so hopefully she didn't let it get out of control, because I think she had a decent regular job. He tried to plan something with her, she cancelled, then she acted like they had never met before or made plans. From what he says, she always seemed a bit unusual, but she may have gone completely off the deep end (drugs, etc.), or per the previous poster, finally gotten pregnant. Something is definitely not right, though.

I tried with Brave, but it immediately says I'm blocked before I even get to the login screen. It's a weird window I've never seen before. I ended up using Firefox and customizing all the per site settings so that it won't be allowed to track or store data. I'm going to wait at least a day before I pay for the membership to make sure I don't get banned. I've tried other browsers in the past, but always end up back on Chrome because of the image search extensions. Hopefully I can find something similar for Firefox.

Sounds like you have previous cookies set. You must clear them first. Also you can run in an incognito window to be 100% sure.

Also using a VPN can cause issues since those are shared IPs and many sites use VPN tracking and score VPN IPs as higher risk. A local WIFI would be ideal honestly.

It's safest to make the account and enter your payment info, without being behind a VPN. I just use McDonalds or library Wifi for that. Then after that, I don't think it matters. Also I don't think it likes some email domains, like protonmail. I had some of those get rejected, but I was also maybe behind VPN when I created those accounts.

But I would make new account and login for a couple of days, get your pics added and profile written. Then enter payment info and if that works, maybe login without VPN one more day and just use VPN all the time, after that. It's all such a hassle and makes me even less likely to make a new account and get another subscription. I've been on the sidelines for about a year now. I needed a break, but didn't plan on it being this long.

I logged in today and have a message saying my account is on hold until I verify my identity. I've been using this same account well over 5 years and now all of a sudden they are requiring this. I REALLY don't want to put my real identity on there because I don't trust their security at all, but I hate to lose access. I'm assuming others aren't having the same issue or people would be posting about it. Anyone else run into this?

That hasn't happened to me, but I would just make a new acct. Major hassle, with new pics, email, etc, but not worth the risk with giving them your real identity. Although now with all those face recognition sites like "Pimeyes" not sure how much anonymity we even have any longer.

Download the extension called ghostery, it will remove all the trackers & cookies for a website. It's how seeking tracks your account & footprint.

Or use "Multi Account Containers" on Firefox and have a specific Tab group that Seeking opens in. It will limit the cookies and trackers to that one tab group.

For Chrome, I also use both uBlock Origin and Privacy Badger at the same time..maybe I'll add Ghostery in there too.
